I love this place. It gets crowded so it's often impossible to find a place to sit. I love the decor and it's clean. The food items / snacks they sell are tasty and at Christmas the mince pies were the best I ever had. There teas and coffees are great and the staff are friendly. Definitely my go to place to meet friends when they have room.

Wow, I am totally such a ditz. I was wondering why it was named Bestsellers & was confused what the actual name of this 'cafe' was. Apparently I didn't really go all the way in to realize that they are indeed a bookshop. They do not have Chai Lattes & seem to have a limited selection when it comes to coffee. I settled on the Latte. They have indoor and outdoor seating - more seating inside. I sat right by the window that had a nice view of the church across the street. It's a perfect place for people-watching as the foot traffic is quite busy. My latte came with both a brown and white sugar packet - great that they had brown sugar as I cannot have white sugar anymore - as a vegetarian. The latte was a bit too foamy for me but I'm just being picky. I had to add the brown sugar to get a little sweetness but wow, I was super jittery by the time I drank halfway - so their coffee works! Anyways, the cute ambiance is what drew me in. Apparently a lot of people go there as it is right by a bus stop & by the shopping centre.

The title of the shop I presume is an assertion of the fact that the Bible is the bestselling book in the world. It's run by the national Bible society of Ireland, I know I thought exactly the same I had no idea that there was such a thing as a Bible society. The face of the shop is beautiful architecturally in itself. So you will find a tonne of religiously orientated books in here in all shapes and design, I felt a bit odd looking through the Christian titles, but the staff left me to my own devices. So this is definitely the place to go if you want to buy a bible!

I always enjoy my time in the café. The atmosphere is very relaxing, the decor is tasteful, and the walls are lined with books for you to peruse (or buy!). The scones & pastries are tasty and I have enjoyed both the teas and coffees I've ordered here. And of course, the central location on Dawson Street makes this a very convenient spot.

Stopped here for a late Sunday breakfast & latte. It was really good! Plenty of seating inside.

Going about business with a quiet stalwart dignity, unfazed by trends and the need to be shiny and the next new hip thing, instead very much it's own. This place sells books, well curated second hand and new ones. The selection is pretty good considering they don't have a lot of space, and I love the way they are laid out on the central tables so you can have a gawp or a good auld rummage. That's exactly the pleasure of this place too; you go in for a look and leave with something unexpected. It's not really a bookshop you go to with a singular book in mind to purchase - sure we have Chapters for that, this place is far more enchanting and perhaps, some might say, disorganized. There's also a great second hand music store in the back (Freebird Records) with a brill Blues section and decently priced CDs and vinyl too. Long may this place last. Go in with no expectations and you may well find yourself charmed.

As we walked by, we saw a sign that said, "Secret Book & Record Store", with an arrow pointing into a deep narrow hallway with posters of advertisements covering the walls. These places are the great finds in Dublin. At the end of the hall was a large room filled with used books, vintage vinyl & new releases including CDs. The store was a frezy of customers flipping through the bins of vinyl to find that one great band from their past. I did find a few old 80s punk albums but still on a quest today to find an original GBH or Exploited cover.

For starters, right at the center of the store, there is a super well-curated Read for Palestine table. And I'm here for any business showing solidarity. Next, the bookseller made some stellar recommendations when I asked for contemporary Irish literature recs. Currently reading The Amendments by Niamh Mulvey, and it'll be, without a doubt, one of my favorite reads of the year. Several more recs made it onto my TBR. Seriously, come here for a great selection of books, knowledgable staff, and to support a small business doing the right thing in these dark times
