I had finally grown my natural hair out, and now I have to start over. Worse, the color she put in is turning yellow despite my using a blue shampoo. I am really disappointed.

I specifically asked for someone who could French braid it because I can't redo it for a few days. Karen did a good job of shampooing save that she sprayed water all down my back. She apologized fir being out of practice when I asked her to French braid my hair. She did not know how to brush long hair: she brushed top down and yanked a lot out by tangling it more. I was tired and didn't want to stay any longer. Karen did not French braid my hair, she just braided it in the back. Furthermore, she parted my hair crooked in a wavy line from front to back. When my friend looked at it, she showed me how crooked it was. It's embarrassing. The only saving grace was that she only charged $10 for it and was cheerful. Don't go here if you have long hair!!!

The first time she cut off six inches like I wanted, but it looked very choppy and uneven from the back. I went back to have her touch it up and now it's even worse. It's like a whole chunk is missing under my hair. I try to give the benefit of the doubt since my hair is ridiculously thick but I'm still very disappointed.

She will also suggest alternatives or different ideas, some of which we may or may not try and Susan ALWAYS makes certain I'm happy before I walk out the door. She gives great customer care, from the time I walk in and get the yummy coffee (or wine!) until I check the mirrors and the perfect phoof (my word) on the back of my hair and happily leave the shop until my next visit. Casey was so incredibly helpful. She'd just come in from her lunch when the receptionist asked for expertise. Casey showed me a few options and explained some of the benefits, and I also purchased some shampoo and conditioner. I haven't used R+Co before, but I like it. There's plenty of parking here. The salon is small and seemed calm and quiet. If I lived in Eugene I'd make an appointment here.

So, I did what any other person with bangs in their eyes and a little audacity would do, which was pull out the sharpest scissors I could find and attempt to trim them myself. I'm sure you can guess how that turned out. Panicked and embarrassed, I took to Yelp to hunt down a stylist who could hopefully fix my poor, poor mutilated hair. Because Willow Hair has great reviews, I decided to give them a call and beg for their help. A sweet woman named Helen answered the phone and assured me that people trim their bangs all the time and she'd be able to set me up with someone who could help. That someone was Gale, who, with her expert touch and bright smile, saved me from myself. Not only did she fix my bangs, she also went above and beyond by re-shaping some of the layers in my hair and giving me tips on how to trim my own bangs in the future if I ever got the urge. I think my hair cutting days are sufficiently behind me, but if I can't resist the temptation, I now know what to do! Willow Hair is by appointment only and they have their own parking lot. Stylists book up fast, but Savannah kindly rescheduled me within the week when I fell down the stairs two hours before my appointment and couldn't walk for a couple of days. No comment on that (facepalm), other than the ladies who work here treat you like a human and not just a name on their booking list. I already have my next appointment booked in a month and a half I look forward to seeing what Gale cooks up for me next time!
