2/9/25 50 years ago,…read moreI was prayed over by Fr. Ed McDonough, the founder of the Healing and Restoration Ministry many times. I did receive a healing of slipped discs through his prayers. Never had to have surgery. The last time he prayed for me, he also prayed for the straightening of my leg's. I felt a peaceful power and had a sense like warm honey was being poured over my head that went through my whole body. Praise God, He answered Fr. McDonough's prayers and the slipped discs were totally healed. Fr. McDonough had a gift of healing from Gods spirit and the day he died was on Our Lady of Lourdes Feast Day, Feb. 11. Now I believe that is and was Gods confirmation of the genuineness of the Gift God gave him. Thank you dear God. Please raise up other holy priests like Fr. McDonough who will be open to your gifts of healing and have courage to pray for the wounded body of Christ on this earth.

It's near Worcester which is a long drive for me to make on a Sunday morning but SO SO SO worth it!…read moreI tried dozens of houses of worship for a few years and finally found Lifesong - I knew from the minute I got to the parking lot that my search was over! It's great because the pastor isn't an old virgin reading out of a book that's hundreds of years old. The pastor is a passionate modern man who reads scripture off of his iPhone and relates it to everyday life (it also helps that he's funny - so funny, ) Allso, the music! It's not a conventional pipe organ. There's a genuine band - with singers, electric guitarists, a bassist and drummer. The production value is awesome. Final thought - has anyone (in the Northeast) ever heard of a church needing to add a second and THIRD service because so many (kind, warm, friendly and welcoming) people want to get in?! I'm a regular every Sunday! #BestDayoftheWeek

We found this church quite literally by accident (we intended to go to a church in a different town…read morebut ended up in Westborough instead). And we are so glad and grateful that we did! More than a year later, there's still so much to learn and try and all I can say is... this is a very special, alive church. There is so much going on! Now that we have been there a year I am looking forward to the Great Pie Challenge (I had never seen hundreds of apple pies in one place before) and the Cookie Walk to benefit the music program that are both happening in the next few weeks. There are some great adult education opportunities going on all the time (ALPHA is almost always in progress, and that is a terrific thing to participate in) and we also took part in a wonderful group study on marriage and relationships last spring. The church has been around since the 1700 and has an amazing story - and yet don't let that fool you into thinking it's an 'old' church. That is not the vibe at all. I have never seen so much going on in such a small community and with so much forward thinking. It was important to my husband and me that we find a church that was Open and Affirming - and it is - the church's 'tagline' is "We are a community of open doors and growing faith" - 100% true. Wonderful leadership and emphasis on each person growing in their personal relationship with and worship of God...

This community basically encourages everyone to do good and to be good no matter what their beliefs about where life came from. I have been able to develop my own personal beliefs here in a supportive and tolerant community. The programs for children and youth were great for my kids.
