My kids were starting to enjoy the church because there are some real genuine members at the church who truly care about you. The members who are genuine have friendly smiles and warm hugs, and their spirit is in the right place. However, until I got physically assaulted by a church employee on April 6,2025, I see how leaders are not practicing what they try to preach to the congregation. They hide their loved ones' and friends' negative behaviors and not address it properly, or their investigations are not thorough to find the truth. The leaders can not be neutral or fair when it comes to their family or friends, who is not following the biblical principles they preach. Like it's different rules for some people. When I got assaulted, from behind, the church employee's relative knocked my 11 yr old daughter into the wall before they ambushed the meeting. My 17 yr old cousin was attacked by the church employee, who is an adult and her daughter. The head elder just sat there, behind the desk, and did nothing but watched, pretending to look down. He claimed he saw nothing, but he was facilitating the meeting. It was told he said it was mutual a fight, but I dont understand how when I was assaulted from the back. I had to defend myself. Did not know if the attackers had a weapon or what. The leaders were protecting the attackers. I believe the head elder was trying to help them escape before the cops came. The leaders have not completed a written statement for me and my family to get justice because they dont want their family and friend go to jail. The elders mistreated me and my family, especially my uncle. They got in his space and his face and had him escorted out of church because he spoke his mind peacefully, not aggressively. He did nothing wrong to deserve the treatment he got. That would have been a good time for elders to witness, but instead, they treated him , me, and my family like we were nothing. One elder could not stand up and stop the mistreatment when asked. We were born and raised in the church. The leaders do not care about people like me. They look at you and judge you. Yes, there are a few good leaders, especially the ones that baptized my kids. But yet, the leaders involved when I got assaulted still have not stood up for what's right. They can't follow their own teachings. I dont know how they get up there and preach when they dont stand up for what's right. How do they sleep at night, when I can't get the image out of my head of the head elder, staying behind the desk. I regret returning back to Mt. Tacoma and having my kids get baptized there. The leaders are hypocrites and liars, even when they stay silent. They dont know how much the assault traumatized my family, especially me and my kids. The elders stood back and watched, and adults attacked a youth, as well. My son dont want to return. My daughter misses church and was happy to be a jr deaconess but is afraid that the attack will happen again. I dont trust no leaders, especially with my kids. They could not protect me and my family, and they choose to not stand up andHdo whats right by telling the truth. How can anyone think being assaulted is ok and not stand up for justice. If the shoes were on their feet and any other leaders' feet, they would want justice. How can they witness to us when they can do whats right. They all stand behind a lie and thinks it's ok. But I know and pray the Lord reveals the truth. I would love the leaders to take a lie detector test to prove the truth. I need and deserve Justice. My kids have suffered at the hands of the church. I would think the church would care about my kids.

The people here are very genuine, nice and friendly, and very helpful, we (United Church of God) had a funeral service here Saturday, Jan.31st, 2015 for a brethren that had past away, and they were very helpful in having the funeral here, and this church has been very helpful when we have our Tacoma Weekend, and they have there members direct people from our church to the school lot, and there church to where ever (not sure) I will be checking out a service here before ours since it works out pretty good and been impressed with the people here

Mass should never be a popularity contest, gossip, politics or social pressure…read more What I found about this church, neither of those things apply. What was clear to me, is their objective and understanding of what comes first is, the congregation, Catholic dogma, and spirituality. I'd like to share my first mass experience. My sisters, who are deeply religious and devout had come to visit and wanted to attend Sunday mass at the nearby town which I discouraged. We went instead to St Andrew. As soon as we parked our cars, we noticed that there was an uplifting atmosphere of joy. The children were laughing and talking about saints, breakfast at home after mass, and the priest, whom they loved. It was a pleasure to see this type of interaction and love for their church. When we entered, my niece slid next to me and observed the mass with a sense of jubilation and curiosity that I had never seen before in her. And, before the mass ended, I noticed her eyes filled with tears as they flowed over and down her cheeks. It was the first time I had ever seen anyone so filled with a reference to a mass and God. Would I recommend this church to anyone? YES!! YES! YES! Also may I add, CHILDREN should come first always. A church fails its congregation when they demand that children be left at home so they can have quiet at mass. Please remember in "Matthew 19:14: Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

CFAN offers Saturday night service that starts at 6:00 pm with free coffee and snacks. Services start on time and end in a reasonable time. CFAN offers Wednesday night bible studies at 7:00 pm. CFAN has great programs and ministries for everyone. CFAN cares about where you are going and teaching you how to apply the word of GOD to your life. CFAN is a genuine place of worship with people that truly care about you and your life.

Music was extremely loud and lasted almost 45 minutes. Standing so long got us tired very quickly. People then sat literally right next to us (less than a foot away) with their being probably 100 empty seats and they decided not to wear a mask either, needless to say, we left and aren't coming back.

They put dedication into making this church how it is today! There is a summer overnight church camp for kids at the church from 3rd to 12th grade, All Saints Camp, in Gig Harbor. It's 6 nights. I have been going for 3 years and love it! This church is nice, and if you are Orthodox and looking for a new church in Seattle, Greek Orthodox Church of the Assumption may be for you!
