I used to take my boys fishing out here when they were little. We have had picnics under the Gazebos and there is a grill or two for cooking out. I have actually witnessed a Russian family cooking a pig in the ground/grilling. It was my first seeing a whole pig cooking like that. They were having a wonderful time. It is located in Lakewood area of Southside. I have heard of a few crimes happening out here as well, over the years. So, please be very careful and vigilant while out here. We're planning to book another tour to do the bioluminescence paddle at night as well. This sunrise tour is going on my list of best things to do in Jax -- it's truly NE FL at its best. Everything was super easy to book and Hayden had our gear ready and waiting to go, so we were able to get right on the water and see the full sunrise over the river.
