They are scam artists basically it's just organized crime they work with their doctors they work with their chiropractors and they Jack their prices up so high that in the end the lawyer and doctors make more than the client who was actually involved in the accident. Once they sign u up , you can never get in touch with attorney Bethune, if you have questions you would like to ask him he sends you over to someone else, I text and call him no response ever. It's stressful as if being in a accident isn't already stressful enough especially when your vehicle is totaled and you are in a lot of pain. Update: My case have been dragging on for over a year now when I know other cases that were worst than mine settle within 8months, I know every case is different but apparently my case was transferred to Sabrina Zellner and I can't get in contact with her I continue to call and I always get that she is in a meeting. Had to give one star to let people know RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!! No real communication, no promptness, we are settling today ONLY because I took a day off work and showed up. It's been over a yr for a 25k settlement that I only walk away with 8000$ while Bethune took 8666$ because they only negotiate dropping everyone else's bills except them charging me 33.33% and know that .33% at the back end of that 33% is how they get you. Dont be fooled by those cheesy commercials with jingles and catchy fraises. I was fooled after my car accident. I was rear ended. I thought the case would be easy especially when my life was turned upside down after accident. I couldn't work I couldn't live my life and now a year later after settling i still have very bad back issues that will probably last a lifetime. With that said i feel like Bethune didn't fight for me. I spoke with him once in the beginning over the phone then with his associates after that. It was a big show and hold out for 8000$ USD what a shame and disappointment. 8000$USD after they got paid along with doctors. Just do your own research and try out other lawyers because every time. i hear a commercial i feel someone else like me is getting fooled. They will not fight for you they will get you a small check even if accident wasn't your fault. I feel like if you cant see physical damage they wont fight for you. It's been 9 months since my accident and 6 month since I finished all of the necessary medical treatments and requirements. And guess what still no settlement while I'm being told the demand letter only takes 30 days then 90 days later Bethune law firm: oh we were missing important documents from the medical office so now we have to wait to get those and forward to the insurance company. I had 2 friends get in an accident after me and got a settlement but of course they didn't use Bethune Law Firm. I won't even go into more detail about my case just know it involves a little of everyone else's reviews below. Hands down the worst experience ever. Got lending company info from attorney about 2 months ago and guess what they can't approve me of a loan because they can't get in touch with the attorney. I have to say I agree with ALL the other reviews out here about Bethune Law Firm. I hired Bethune law firm to work my auto accident case in April 2019. I have always had a hard time reaching anyone, the rarely call back or respond to my calls or emails. When I do speak with my attorney I absolutely feel like I'm getting the run around. In one instance, I was told "They would not send my info to a pre settlement company because they didn't want me to eat up all MY OWN money". I am searching for pre settlement lenders to assist me with funding while I go through treatment and one of the "Reps" at Bethune tells me "We are not a loan company and can't sit around all day replying to lenders". The right response would have been "Sorry we are behind or busy, please allow us time to get back to you". I had a few lenders reach out to them to find the right company to provide me funding. I wish I had of shopped around before just choosing Bethune. On several occasions I was told they responded to the lender and then find out It never even took place. It went as far as one particular person at Bethune telling me to "borrow money from someone I know". I was in the accident with a co worker, and he was told his case would be settled in about 3 weeks that was 2 months ago. He is frustrated and I feel responsible because I referred him to Bethune as well. What's their excuse for not responding to him?? I'm still going to treatment, so I can only imagine what more I'm going to have to go through before I can end my relationship with Bethune Law Firm. The absolute worst to work with. You would think after taking on someone's case they would actively communicate with THEIR OWN CLIENTS. But of course not, it would be to much like right. You go months without hearing from anyone, when you call you will never be able to reach your lawyer. They will take what they call a Urgent Message but the attorney will never respond to the "Urgent Message". They brand themselves so well that you would expect communication to be much better. If you are like myself and value clarity through this grueling process I wouldn't recommend them unless you don't mind not hearing from anyone for months. I've been involved with other car accident firms and this experience was very unusual. I thought I'd give it a try to support a community business but this is insane. I strongly dislike the lack of communication with this law firm. Every time I've called reps take my information and say you'll receive a return call by the end of day or someone will follow up with you. Return calls take more than a few days most of the time I have to call back and after expressing my frustration then i get a return call only to be told nothing with no details about my case it's a cycle. Too many years has passed for them not to have any information or updates. I never meet with Bethune just his workers who were all very nice but do yourself a favor do not use this firm. I always had to call them for a up date. Took two years to settle my claim and it was a small one and my check was small too, I feel like they didn't work hard enough to get a better result! She hadn't passed the bar when she started representing my daughter. However, when she did we never heard from her again. She assigned someone else to speak on her behalf. This person seldom called also. No follow-up to the case from a car accident, no nothing unless you call them. They are full of excuses on their end. Very poor representation.
