Well I'm glad I waited until my second visit to write a review. My first visit was great... Dr. King Wong treated me for low back pain (I pulled something). I felt great after. It truly helped my back like no amount of Physio ever has. So that was great.
However, it was just a little awkward. I was referred to this place by someone I trust, so i had an idea of what to expect. I was taken to a room upstairs, and everything in the room seemed old and not the cleanest. Fear not, the needles are single use and definitely sterile. I was treated in my clothes, which made it awkward especially for the low back. I've never had acupuncture before, but I go for massages and thought it might be similar to that in how they ask you to undress, but it wasn't. Anyhow, I was treated and Dr. Wong is very professional, easy to talk to, and certainly seems to know what he was doing. It was really amazing how easy it was for acupuncture to rid me of the pain.
My second visit, I was taken to a room on the main floor. It was like I was at a different clinic. The room was certainly updated and didn't have old stained cabinets. I was also asked to change and given a gown, which made treatment easier for both of us I believe! Overall a much better "experience" than the first visit. But the results were so impactful that I would still go back even if it was the same awkwardness as the first treatment.
By the way, I hate needles. I have fainted a bazillion times from getting injections and blood taken, but this is not so bad. I was slightly (okay a lot) freaked out when he out the needles in my head, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. read more
