I consulted with Dr. Yawrenko about my issues and he recommended not only acupuncture but also magnetic therapy. I was sceptical but went forward and was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. New Life Clinic provides a variety of alternative health and wellness treatments including: acupuncture, magnetic therapy, reflexology, shiatsu massage and a few other "out there" treatments like; live cell analysis, vega and audio-colour therapy. These treatments aren't for everyone but keep an open mind and try them! New Life also offers monthly educational workshops for a small fee. The fee is donated to the Organization of Protection of Children's Rights in exchange for a complimentary preliminary examination (worth $90). The topics covered are interesting and provides you information about different forms of health and wellness outside of conventional practice. I will say the treatments are pricey but some procedures are covered by benefits. Your health and well being is your prerogative and worth what you're willing to pay.

The treatment rooms have very calming decor and are perfect temperature, the complete spa atmosphere, but every so often you can hear someone slamming down weights in the gym next door. This kind of hampers the whole calm zen feeling. The last time I went I noticed someone in a wheelchair seemed to have issues navigating because the corridors are narrow around the reception area and there's not really seating for someone who's a little less mobile at the entrance of the clinic. These are the only reasons I haven't given City Centre Wellness five stars. I will continue to visit this clinic because the service is fantastic, they do online booking (which I love) and it's a convenient location for anyone who works downtown. There are appointments available at lunch hour and outside of normal working hours.

I've been going to city center wellness for about a year now and I am throughly satisfied with the service I receive there. First off they have a super convenient online booking system which I love. You can see when your therapist is available and match up an appointment time to your calendar without having to call. They will also send you reminders on the day of your appointment via email, and follow-up reminders when it is time for your next appointment to be booked which is super handy. They also have 3rd party billing which is exrtremly handy for those whose benefits cover massage therapy. They have different therapists who specialize in different areas of massage so they cater to pretty much every need. I personally see Meghan, who is great. She will tell me what parts of my body are tight and what I need to work on and give me tips of things I can do at home to loosen those muscles up. She really knows her stuff. There have also been a few times I have called the studio the day of - you know how it is when you wake up with something wrong and you could use the massage that day - and Meghan has always done her best to fit me in when those problem days occur. Overall great experiences with the city center wellness clinic and I will continue to go back.

I was having a lot of all over pain and had been referred for lymphatic drainage which my regular massage therapist didn't do (and which sounded very strange and terrifying, I was imagining a mad scientist lab and tubes to drain out lymphatic fluid, eek! It's actually just a gentle massage, no literal draining involved.) I ended up booking with Anne as she does the lymphatic drainage as well as several other therapies. The clinic is located in a cute little house on the corner of 101 St and 80th Avenue. As soon as I walked in I was struck by the utter peace and tranquility of the place. It was so quiet compared to the chaos outside and I could happily have dozed off just sitting on the sofa in the waiting area. My massage therapist, Anne, is just lovely. I was half expecting someone very spiritual, wearing flowing robes and waving incence (because I'm ridiculous like that) but she is a very charming and practical German lady with additional qualifications in physiotherapy. One of the first things she said to me was "sit up straight, you'll feel better if you're not slouching all the time." It's true, I do!! Before we started our treatment she did an assessment of my body and biomechanics (I've always experienced this as more of a physio thing) and based on that she decided that rather than do lymphatic drainage we should change our focus and try Bowen therapy instead. This involves sort of tweaking/moving all the muscles in the body. It's very non-invasive and didn't hurt at all and I walked out feeling much better! I really like that Anne has a lot of experience with different types of therapy and she can customize and incorporate different techniques into my treatments. She also gave me a thorough treatment plan with different recommendations for exercises, videos, a stability cushion for my work chair, and orthotics. So far everything has worked and Anne is now my regular massage therapist. I can't recommend Integrated Therapies enough!

As a patient prior to the pandemic, I was very impressed how often she would reach out to update me on any changes. The clinic doesn't require masks anymore but if you're like me and need to air on the side of caution, masks are used. As someone that's tried a lot of different chiropractors in the Edmonton area, I can honestly say if you can handle the drive (to & more importantly afterwards) this clinic is worth it. Both chiropractors are highly regarded by their patients, but I can only speak specifically with the work Dr. Kisic does for my body. I also can't comment on the current RMTs at this clinic (their rooms are upstairs) besides observing that they have a steady flow of clients that seem happy to return to them too. The current frontend person, Suraksha, keeps things going smoothly & thankfully is willing to help patients find a later time (if available) or happily reschedule within the week if their health is impacting them (from making the drive all the way safely for the original booked time or at all that day). This is something small to most people, but such a huge value to those chronically ill like myself. I greatly appreciate not being extremely stressed out when rearranging an appointment on top of a really bad health day that is already stopping me from getting myself physically to the appointment. Dr. Kisic listens to me as a patient, notes my biggest issues & asks great follow up questions to correspond with her treatment. She is especially great at communicating with someone that's having a harder day or week when getting the right words out is difficult. Be it due to heavy brain fog, going through pain flares &/or struggling full migraine issues - she can interpret it all. I'm always amazed with her memory for details. Even with her quick digital file prompts, it is impressive with the extra level she recalls on her own during the treatment when there's no way possible she could see the patient summary. Most importantly, she doesn't make assumptions on what your body should be doing with her treatments & works well with other practitioners in your health circle too. So take the time to speak with her in the clinic. It is well worth it. I also advise you to be open with the condition of your body or injury so you can get the best treatment for your situation. Include what does or doesn't work well from past practitioners &/or other modalities & who you're currently working with for pain management or quick patch ups. As for the clinic itself, access wise is direct from sidewalk (which is a high step up unless you're at the end of the strip mall for lowered sidewalk access). There isn't an automatic door button (honestly I don't thing any of the businesses have it at the strip mall that I've walked by, not even the newly remodelled spa). The door handle at the clinic is a large size, so easier to pull, & the door entry is good size for access. The clinic provides slippers for patients to use while there (make sure you read the labels so you're grabbing from the clean box). Everything from waiting room, washroom to the treatment rooms is kept tidy & clean. The washroom is very spacious & lots of room to change before appointment (I usually change into tank top & shorts unless it's deep winter). There isn't a baby change table in the washroom but if you have your baby with you, there's a large cabinet in the bathroom that would be wide enough to put a changing pad down. There's free parking available along the strip mall where the clinic is located & throughout the larger parking lot amongst the other businesses. This summer an extra parking spot was added between the clinic & dry cleaner entrance areas (it use to be a permanent parking lot divider). This change provided a much needed lowered sidewalk access point in the midst of the length of the strip mall. I don't think this change has anything to do specific with the clinic (as there's many businesses in the strip mall) but the effort to put the lowered sidewalk isn't being fully utilized. As it's yet to be fully marked so no parking occurs in the handicap sidewalk access. Stalls currently allotted for handicap parking are at the end of strip mall (close to the OJs, Subway, Starbucks, etc. area). There are other parking options further into the general parking lot but parking along the strip mall is safer in winter. Especially if you struggle with any mobility or stability issues. Overall, this is a solid place to try out if you're in need of a new chiropractor or if you're struggling to find a chiropractor that really gets how to work with those in chronic pain &/or chronic migraine issues. I think it's a good sign when patients for both practitioners seem to be always happy with their adjustments & ongoing care.

After coming to him for quite a while the pain went away completely. After my first session it was significantly reduced. I continue to come see him for my chiropractic needs and it's helped a lot. The receptionists are friendly and kind. It's a nice clean environment. This location is also very convenient for me it's very close to where I live so making an appointment is easy for me. Still after over a year my knees have not hurt after he helped get rid of my issue. I also love that he gives me effective stretches and movements to lessen my injury from coming back. He is a friendly and knowledgeable chiropractor another reason I continue to come here.

The company has changed their online booking and computer system three or four times now resulting in me having to fill out paperwork every single time I've showed up for treatment. my daughter was apparently the primary member of the account and when I had to book appointments it would show her as the patient causing confusion. my daughter and I booked a massage together a phone call that day that there was nobody to give my daughter a massage. In my mind our time should be just as valuable as their time, if this happens you should be offered some form of compensation or additional massage time similar to when you don't show up or cancel, they bill you for it. This week my daughter and I again booked a massage, we both didn't get the massage therapists we requested and again filling out the paperwork requested yet again, I had stressed that my shoulder was being problematic and I was looking for some type of deep tissue massage to relieve the tension surrounding my shoulder joint, again I mentioned it before my massage began to the massage therapist, the result was a full body massage with not a single hint of emphasis on my shoulder. I was dumbfounded when she said the massage was over and she would wait for me outside before getting up and walking out, how do you request it on paperwork and vocally and they simply ignore the area needing attention.. Just goes to show the paperwork is just there to cover legalities and not assist the patient. Very disappointed and it seems to be common for me, hopefully others have better luck here; on a different note, the chiropractor is very very good I find.

After filling out my forms he decided to concentrate on the major areas of concern for this session which was my neck, shoulders, back, lower back and my glutes (bum cheeks). I first received a vigorous massage on those areas, the pressure hard. I loved it! Finally a massage where they work those muscles! I could literally feel the heat of his hands as he worked those areas, my back was hot! Than I received acupuncture, on those areas with a tens machine attached to it. He covered me up and left me for a bit to relax. Just as I was about to snore, he came in and than did cupping. I have been cupped numerous times and usually its about 6 cups. No cups were spared: my back, shoulders, neck, hips and bum were cupped! My cups over runneth! Cups with acupuncture and tens machine! The triple whammy! He covered me up and left me to be for a bit. Well I full fledged crashed and woke myself up with my snoring! After that was done, he wiped the areas with a warm wet cloth, gave a quick rub to stipulate the areas, had me flip over and turned down the lights. I got my toes cracked and my fingers as well (which if you never have done, you must.) So satisfying! lol . He gave a face rub, head massage and than my session was over. Will I be back?? Damn skippy I will be back! In two weeks! I walked out of that clinic like a new woman! Can't wait for my next session!

I'm also having a series of Accupuncture treatments for various injuries. I find them very effective. The doctor I saw was knowledgeable about my injury and worked the injured tendon very well. My favourite part when another practitioner came in and gave me a noogy. I don't know what it did but I had a great sleep.
