You would think the YMCA being built on Christian values would be able to work with people a little better.

I took the fitness yoga class on a whim after an injury. Not only did I love the class, but the instructor was really great about teaching me adaptations to poses to help me heal. The building is a little older, but they have done a great job with the decor in the fitness room. The most important part of an center is their equipment, and they have kept theirs very well maintained. The LFC is probably one of the only fitness centers where you still feel like you can meet people and make new friends at. If you want to feel like you are part of a community, then go there.

Apparently, even though they sent an email out to everyone to join the tournament & had it listed for all ages... it's for youth. Very disappointed in how things have been at the club since Jim left. Like how hard would it be to leave a note at the front desk telling them it's a youth tournament Friday &/or sending out an email letting members know prices are going up by 75% (and after speaking to the club it sounds like they are going to do another price hick soon)

They Call it Warrior for a Reason!!…read more I had the opportunity to workout with the crew at Warrior Fitness in Muscatine. I was quite surprised to find such a thriving Crossfit community here in Muscatine. The Box is everything you would expect from a Crossfit location. The Box has barbells, kettlebells, racks, and a multitude of other equipment and plenty of space to hold large classes or multiple classes. The crew at this Box treated me very well and pushed me hard during my visit. The members and the coaches here are true warriors and train hard, so if you're ever in Muscatine and want a real workout, drop-in and you will be well taken care of.

Only complaint I have is that there were some young teenagers rough housing in the lazy river area. At one point they had my 5 yr old nephew trapped under their floats. The life guards were told about this and they said they only break it up if someone is being hurt. So a 5 yr old trapped under a float by rough housing teens in the lazy river is allowable behavior? I think NOT! At the front desk I asked about a veteran discount and was told "I don't think we do that". Please educate your staff and PLEASE honor the spirit of a "lazy river."

Most importantly, Master Jeff truly lives by the principles he teaches--respect, honor, discipline, and public service. All of his students have thoroughly earned their ranks through hard work, discipline, and consistent effort. This is not a "mcdojo" that hands out rank to the highest bidder; your child--or you--will earn every accomplishment the old-fashioned way.
