On the phone yesterday I was told that they could do that, it would cost $40 PER item. Today he says no. Then I told him I couldn't make the sale because I NEED those two items removed from my living room before I place the new recliner, that I have to make room for a hospital bed for my husband. He said "sorry, wish I could help", to which I replied (as I'm heading for the door), "No, I don't believe you are sorry at all". He says, "That was uncalled for", and I said, "No, it's my opinion, and I'm certainly entitled to that". And he told me I "could leave now". Too late, dude, my hand is ON THE DOOR! I'm outta here. AND, they advertise as a "family-oriented, Christian-based business". I am completely certain I will NEVER attend his "God's Gifts Ministry" church ... EVER. He couldn't care less about us needing room for a hospital bed, that we are seniors, that Ed is a veteran, or a myriad of other plights we are facing right now. They advertise that if anyone needs any kind of prayer, "Just call us, we'll be glad to pray with you". You bet. Real Christian folks there. Just another example of why many people choose not to attend a church. Hypocrite, holier-than-thou's.

I requested the 12 to 4 delivery block. The lady said they would call the next day to let me know. The next day I hadn't heard anything until I was at the residential facility my aunt was moving to. There one of the employees said hefner called and said it would be 4 to 8pm. They didn't call me because the delivery men were given the wrong phone number on their ticket. I asked why their logistic system seems to be very unconcerned with the customer. They load their truck in any fashion and the call that morning to tell you what 4 hour block they will deliver. The customer doesn't even know if they can go to work that day until they get the time frame. Just imagine if hefner asked customers what 4 hour window they might prefer and then load accordingly. It may take a little more planning on their part. It now seems that we have the money the customer can just block out an entire day. By the way the two two delivery men were very helpful and polite.

We ended up saving a large amount on a mattress and it was the most pain-free experience ever! We had done our research and were feeling overwhelmed at the sheer number of mattresses out there. We stopped by Preferred Mattress and provided some info about what type mattress we were looking for. Ed replied with three or four that they had in stock. We went to Macy's before to try them out but the sales staff was too pushy. After checking out a few at Preferred Mattress we picked out one we loved. It was placed in our bedroom later that day.
