True, I have a bias, I recognize that . That aside, the pictures were wonderfully framed, they were so well composed I couldn't pick a favourite. Each one captured the emotion we felt, and did it so elegantly. I wanted to print each and every one! Each one was timeless (to us) and each one was just perfect. Our friends also commented on how beautiful the images were and they were! Putting aside the fact that pictures were just sublime for a moment, what else makes this a 5 star experience. Stephanie was responsive, communicative and thoughtful in our conversation. She was available via email and telephone and replied more swiftly than I would have even expected. She not only came thru with helpful suggestions for the day, but took time to come early and help me figure out what the heck to do when my original plan fell thru for a lack of attentiveness on my part. There is something to be said for the expertise and quick thinking on her part which enabled the day to go thru smoothly. While I would have gladly paid a lot more for the pictures, and it is hard to put a price to such a wonderful moment in our lives, I must say she is very reasonably priced. So great price, great communication, great results. My only grief here I could not give them more stars than just five.

Leslie has a great eye for editorial and session work, but event photography is still a weak spot…read more She photographed my sister's wedding in 2011 and the package we received was $2500 which did not include any printed photos or the DVD of images. In essence, it did not include a single product for the couple - they paid for her to attend and photograph the wedding and touch up a few photos. I'm not saying time isn't worth money, but in this case Ms. Savage agreed that the package wasn't a good one and has since done away with it. That said, we still had to pay an additional $500 to get the DVD of images from her. Overall the customer focus is lacking and the images, while some in natural lighting turned out very well, there are a lot of the group photos that look more like an old school posed shot of a wedding party. The flash is off in many of the photos, too, which makes them look unbalanced. There are also lots of people who attended the wedding that aren't in a single a photo. It seems she didn't really work the room to get a variety of groups and couples together in shots that aren't candid. Initially Leslie was nice to interact with, but her lack of service and unwillingness to do right by a customer who was also a personal acquaintance leaves me giving her 2 stars. I hope that she continues to mature as a photographer in her style of shooting and customer service.

Such a fun experience. We were on the fence about having…read morematernity photos done to begin with.. I don't exactly feel photo worthy during pregnancy. But a friend of mine encouraged me to have them done not necessarily for me, but for my future daughter. So I caved and scheduled the session. We met Lane and Matt (husband and wife team) at their studio in Dayton. It's not much to look at from the outside but it actually worked out really well. It's in an old warehouse. So they have their studio space, but they also have access to some really amazing areas of the old warehouse that make for great photo backgrounds. We did photos in the studio, around the old warehouse, and then drove to Deeds Park for some outdoor shots. We got our photos back really quick and they turned out amazing. I'm sure there was a massive amount of time spent on editing.. I felt during some shots my hair was out of place and flying everywhere. But you can't tell the wind was my enemy during the session at all. All fly-aways were edited out. You can really tell they actually care about both your experience and the finished product. They know these photos are memories that should be worthy of forever. Honestly, I always feel super awkward when taking photos. Even with friends. But Lane and Matt made us both feel super comfortable and really turned it into a fun experience. We can't wait to do our Newborn Photo Session with them.
