Instead of providing support, I was told I had to draft the letter myself, and they would simply review and sign it. When I expressed frustration, I received a dismissive response, including a comment implying their time is 'more valuable' than mine. As someone who paid $165 for this visit to review lab results, I expected professionalism and clarity about what is included in their services. The situation escalated to the point where they suggested I find another provider in the future, which felt punitive and uncalled for, given my loyalty as a customer. I was skeptical, especially after being burned by so many untraditional and traditional western doctors in the past. They all said I was over eating and my medication was fine . If I could give zero a review, I would! I was put on T3 medication and told I had to pay out-of-pocket I didn't know different so I believe them. I was not monitored never talk to the doctor. Or did follow up labs because to have any communication with the doctor was an additional $135 . Yet when you're taking medication, you should be able to contact with your doctor . In July I sent an email asking about the dosing to which the doctor himself replied to double the dose then I had this team calling panicking because that was not correct so clearly there was no monitoring of my past emails or my history of anything . I knew at this point something was wrong, and I needed to switch doctors. I switched to a local Doctor Who did my bloodwork. My T3 was off the charts. My T4 was now messed up and we had to switch all my medication's. She ran in my T3 and through my insurance and it wound up costing me $30. I had bought two prescriptions one costing 145 the second was around 170!!! Absolute robbery! Do not go here unless you want to mess yourself up further!! Please stay away from this place! I live in New Orleans & travel regularly to see Dr.Cuddapuh. He's been my doctor since 2011. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and caring. I go to him because no doctor in New Orleans would help me. There may never be a cure for all my many health issues but there has been great improvement in bloodwork & symptoms. As I've aged & new challenges present, he is quick to respond. I wrote a negative review about my experience, and they had a nasty lawyer try to threaten to sue me. The staff was very very friendly had that family vibe I really liked that it made me sooo comfortable and relaxed. this place SHADY. i was referred to Dr. Satish Cuddapah by a member of a support group i was in. i really have a issue with his staff as it seems theyre the ones that run the business and handle patients under dr cuddapahs name. my first issue with them was when i came into the office for a checkup and they told me as i was about to leave that they no longer accepted insurance and that my entire visit was going to be out of pocket. i was upset because they did not notify me of this policy change at any point and they have my email, address and phone number. i drive from alabama to atlanta to see them and they sprung this on me at the last minute. the visit came out to be over 300$ which is alot of money to drop at once, i was NOT prepared for this and it put a bad taste in my mouth. i felt that they could have at least had the decency to notify me beforehand and they didnt. the second issue i had was once i started paying out of pocket i pulled up my insurance account and realized that they were billing my insurance for office visits while still charging me cash in the office, essentially double dipping. when i sent them a email explaining this was FRAUD and asking why my insurance was being billed they came back with some excuse about being behind on paperwork and that the charges that i saw were from old visits. I didnt dig deeper on this issue and let it go for the time being. the third issue i had with them was when i called and asked if they could email me a lab order so i could be blood drawn where im from instead of driving an 8hr round trip to spend 5 minutes getting blood drawn there. i figured they could send me the lab order, id get blood drawn in alabama and have results sent to them and then come in and see them when results were looked at. then we could discuss if meds needed to be adjusted or what not. they told me in order to get a lab order sent by email i would have to pay like 150$. i asked the lady "niral" why would i have to pay that much money to get a lab order? it made no sense! she claimed it was for the office visit for when i would come in to get labs discussed. however when i asked to get an appointment she said id have to wait about 2 weeks for the labs to come back and then call and set it up. well if i have to wait two weeks why am i having to pay 150$ up front? why not just charge me for the visit when i am physically there? have you ever known a doctor to charge you for a visit before you actually visit? I HAVE NEVER HAD A DOCTOR DO THIS! it seemed like any time id call or email them to ask simple questions or make simple requests theyd come back with some bizzare amount of money id have to pay just to get anything done. whenever id ask questions about this they would get super defensive and make me seem like i was a problem patient for asking questions. everything came to a head when i called yesterday morning and asked for a refill on my medication as i was running low. instead of buying from them directly, i asked if they could call it in to my pharmacy so that my insurance would cover it versus me paying 110$ or more for a few months supply. they first told me in order to get a prescription id have to come in. i told them i was literally just there last month. i had a FULL lab panel ran and met with dr. cuddapah. why would i have to drive 8hours round trip just to get a prescription? i have had doctors and specialists call prescriptions in for me MANY times with NO PROBLEMS but they couldnt. the lady said she would talk to the dr and call me back. she never called me back. so this morning i sent an email asking what was going on with my refill? a lady calls me (her name is glenda i think?) and tells me i can get a prescription but that dr cuddapah charges 79$ to write it. so if i want him to write a prescription he will call me on the phone, i can ask for the prescription and the phone call will be considered a office visit so i will have to pay 79$. when i continued to question this, they dropped me as a patient. nothing they do makes sense to any reasonably minded person. I wrote them a negative review on google and somehow they had it removed. Then they sent multiple letters to my house threatening to sue me for my review demanding i take it down. These doctors and most their staff are from India and may not have heard that in america we have freedom of speech. Im not at all scared about telling the truth of their shady practices. Once they dropped me as a patient i went to a actual endocrinologist at UAB and when they saw my past labs and how off my numbers were they were SHOCKED and asked me if dr cuddapah was even a real dr. I have no idea what he is honestly and should have done more research on him. They make you sign a waiver when you first start seeing them claiming that they are naturepaths and that if anything happens to you under their care with their treatments, they are not liable. read more

I thought long and hard before posting this and I decided I should share my experience. I had a very similar experience as Lavisha below. I needed a refill on my NaturThroid and called the office yesterday and today. I finally had a call back after leaving another message asking for the office to please call in my refill. Last month I was out of town and needed a refill and was told I either had to go by the office and pay $111 for the NaturThroid or pay $125 for a phone call with Dr. Cuddapath in order to have my perscription renewed. A prescription which the office charges $111 for 3 months and Kroger charges me $14 for one month (total for 3 months - $42). I felt stuck between a rock and a hard place because I could not go by the office so I had a 2 minute phone call with the Dr. Today, as we are in the midst of the Coronavirus, I am with my 81 year old mother, we have been ordered to be shelter in place and my business is shut down, I had a return call from Dr. C's office. I asked to please call in my refill given all of the current circumstances. Francine who is super sweet, said she could not write a prescription. I did not ask her to write a prescription, I wanted a refill. I was told over and over that I had to do a phone consult with Dr. C at $125 or they could mail it to me for $111. Again - we are in total shut down, I have no income right now and my husband's hours have also been cut. I was told by Francine there is nothing she can do. I said - really? Do I need to go on social media? I was put on hold and Neery came on the line and asked how she could help. Again, I started to explain what I needed and I was cut off and told that I she heard everything I had said and how unprofessional I am and that I am taking advantage of a small business and how dare I and that they are busy with testing for Covid and how she had to stop speaking with another patient to speak with me. I was shocked and told her that they clearly don't care for their patients if at this point in time and given my personal circumstances, they can't just call in a refill and prefer to rip their clients off. She went on how I could go back to my old doctor, go back on synthroid and that they are the only alternative for homeopathic. I was taken back and again, again, she went on how they are busy helping hospitals, blah blah and I told her that clearly they don't care about their patients, that I am trying to stay safe and healthy to take care of my mom and again - I asked to please fill my prescription and that these are hard times for all. All of a sudden, she said she'd call in my refill to Kroger and hung up on me. I called back, got Francine again and asked for Neery - I said - oh we got disconnected (I'm sure she hung up) and she said I thought you hung up on me. Um - no. So again I asked - can you please call in my refill and she said she would. So it went from - we can't write a prescription for you to - you need to speak with the Dr. to - we can mail it to you to- them finally calling it in. I knew up front that the charges would be $325, I knew they didn't file insurance, what I did not know was that I could get what they offer in terms of a prescription at about 65% less than what they charge. Plus, in the 5 months that I've been seeing Dr. Cuddapath, I have had no changes at all in my symptons. So, over $500 down the toilet and I have found another homeopathic referral from a friend who also said that everything I was experiencing was unreal. Just understand up front, they care about their bottom dollar and not their patients after what I encountered today. read more
