I came in to find out more information on the programs they offer. The place was full of people coming and going--very vibrant! It was organized and clean. I was helped by Annie and she was very helpful, informative and friendly. She gave me the membership application, and other flyers for different programs they offer. She even gave me a folder to put all the forms in--very thoughtful. There is free WiFi, a Kids Zone, and plenty of parking. I believe they are also in the process of expanding which is definitely a good idea. Will do another update the next time I come in. read more

The worst "Y" in the NW Florida area. They send out surveys to ask you your opinion of their services etc. and when you answer honestly and state your concerns you receive a snide and condescending email from the so called "director" Autumn Navarro. I stated my concerns regarding class crowding and unsafe practices by members that appear to have some form of emotional troubles or neurological issues. For that crime I was lectured on how I need to be more "patient" with other members as each individual is on their own "fitness journey". Additionally, she went on to state that there were no crowding issues because the classes (according to her) can fit more than what they don't actually have room for currently. I am sure she is not concerned about crowding because the more people they squeeze into a small room the better reflection on her and her poor management of the Navarre Branch. Basically via her snide and condescending email message she was telling me she has no regard for my concern as they relate to members and if I don't like it, I can go elsewhere because as far as she is concerned she doesn't want any negative feedback to reflect on her and her inability to manage group classes. Avoid this branch and attend at Gulf Breeze or Pensacola. Finally, this gym is dirty as well. The only cleaning of equipment is done by the class participants. read more

I've been to countless YMCA's. This is the worst managed Y out of all of them. Unfortunately it is the one closest to my home and there are NO other choices for pools nearby. Over the years I've made numerous suggestions to management to make it a better facility but no changes are made. The pool schedule is always a problem because swim team gets priority. Pool is not heated or cooled. Poor communication on pool closings - swim meets, baby poo, inclement weather, no lifeguard, etc. The weight equipment is years old, with rust. I've sent email messages to management but don't receive a response. In my view this Y is a recreation center, not a health/fitness club, so if that is what you are looking for then this Y is not for you. read more

Member for over 10 years was great till Covid, paid no problem for months and couldn't go. After a while place was not being cleaned as it should, weights rusting on the bars due to no lubrication. Employee/trainer takes over the gym several days a week and takes over about 60% of the machines with her crew for hours at a time. Same crew doesn't wipe benches down, leaves weights in place and attempts to take over your space if you walk away for a drink of water. Complaints about conditions were not answered and the conditions stayed the same if not worse. Not a Church based environment anymore at this site. Rules not enforced about dress code, tube tops, spandex shorts showing everything she's got, open toe shoes on the floor, cell phone use on the floor etc. Witnessed a kid in the after care poop his pants and then throw said poop across the gym floor after covering the board games with it. One game was taken away from the other kids that were playing with them the rest still had poop on them. My daughter climbed the outside fence of the day care while we were working out and was located in the parking lot. I would not recommend this facility especially for $74.00 a month when you can't even work out due to the instructor's taking over the facility. read more

Currently run a monopoly in the Navarre area when it comes to being able to go to a place for some indoor pickup basketball. Nobody likes the gym, they come because it's the only place in town. During their basketball season, you can't even play games during weekdays because the gym is being taken up from 1-8 PM. Don't worry though, they only close at 9 so you better get as many games in as you can because that's your time right there. If you brought this up to them, they'd probably just tell you the gym is open all morning from 5:30 AM until 1 PM, but nobody ever goes, so you definitely aren't going to find enough people to play. What about Saturday? Surely the gym is open on Saturday right? According to their "schedule", they have "sports" going from 9 AM to 3 PM, but wait, open gym goes from 4 PM to 5 PM! So you get one hour on Saturday, good to know. Basically, if you want some consistent play time, your only hope is to go on Sunday when open gym goes from 1 PM to 5 PM, other than that, you're limited. In short, I'm paying $25 a month so I can get good pickup games one day a week, because that's how bad it is here. This community desperately needs a new gymnasium that cares about all its customers, not just the ones who pay hand over fist for their kids to play in a D tier league. And when you can play, you better hope you don't slip on the insanely awful court and hurt yourself, I mean sheesh, it's like I'm slipping and sliding on the floors every time I go, no matter what shows I wear. The Bear Levin YMCA is much, much nicer, and also has two courts with real floors, something that should be a prerequisite when it comes to building a gymnasium. read more

Nice facility with a lot of nice friendly folks, just don't sign your child up for their so called "basketball program". Paid $80 to only play approx. 6 games against kids that were way older than the year group of the team and way more advanced in experience so they stood no chances of winning (tearing down the kids self esteem and morale) very disorganized with cancellations in practice and games. Coaches appear caring EXCEPT for Scott. Very unprofessional, bias toward the kids and just not a good "coach" to help these kids with their introduction into the basketball sport or team work concepts. Complaints to Christina (program director) falls on deaf ears ! So word of caution to parents signing their kids up for basketball, Steer clear of Coach Scott and expect a lot of un-organization, run around and disappointment from your kid if you go this route! read more

One of the worst locations and staff my family and I have ever dealt with. I am sure I am not the only one and won't be the last but I will tell everyone the YMCA is Great! However the Betty J pull-up in Navarre is by far the worst when it comes to just about everything. If you want your kids bullied or beat up in the day care go here, if you want your family to see favoritism towards others go here, if you want to see ZERO Christian values Go here, if you want to be lied to, cursed at, have the staff talk about you and your family behind your back GO here!!!!! I can't say enough about how this one location has turned me against YMCA!!!!! I will ensure everyone I know knows about your location and how awful it is towards its members!!!!! Right now I am very disappointed. Signed up first week of the month and was told a personal trainer would be in touch in a few days. No one ever called. Called back repeatedly and was told something different each time. Last week of the month now and still waiting to hear from one. There is no one over the entire facility to contact. A few dept supervisors on staff. Was told there is not a district manager either right now. Thought about playing Pickleball, but there is only one court and it is definitely not for beginners. Pretty busy the few times I was there. I am hoping it gets better soon. read more

We have a family YMCA membership. LOVE the YMCA, though we don't utilize our membership as much as I would like. My children have been in the before/after care program, and it was wonderful. My children loved the staff, they were all friendly, attentive, caring, and would give detailed reports of my child's afternoon if asked. At the end of the school year, the children were allowed to swim every day. School break/s holidays were filled with fun, games, and field trips. My children have attended two overnight "lock-ins," that were amazing for them! The YMCA staff even put on a small new year eve firework show, that the children could safely view from inside the yoga/aerobics classroom. My children have played soccer, football, and baseball through the YMCA. The coaches are all volunteer, but have always been great. For the most part, game schedules were on Saturdays, but having two kids, week-night games were sometimes confusing and hectic (week night games, often meant replacing that weeks practice). My kids have also taken swim lessons at the YMCA. While I think there was a little more fun than learning going on, the did work on their skills (my kids could already swim from taking previous lessons through a city rec dept). The instructor could definitely be a little harder on the kids/more structured, it almost seems as though the instructors follow the kids, and not vice versa. LOTS of classes are offered. Aerobic machines are ample, I have never personally had to wait for a machine, but it does get a little crowded at times. The locker rooms are large, and there are several family restrooms available. The staff is always friendly and helpful! read more
