Very rude & racist. I asked for french, didn't get it & still charged. I will never come back, this was the worst nail experience I ever had

The ladies who work here always do an excellent job with pedicures. However, as a male I often have to wait because if there are no ladies available the men won't perform the service. Ridiculous cultural or homophobic bias that can make my wait longer and feel less valued as a customer. Best nail salon in Lafayette. I know there's SO many to choose from but this one you won't regret. Due to COVID they want you to call a day before to make an appointment just FYI but it's better that way anyway so you don't have to wait. This place is amazing though, this is my second pedicure here and both times it was exactly the same and no short cuts. They take their time and it shows in the results. They aren't rushing you out or hurrying for the next customer. The quality of their work is excellent and their prices are more than fair. The employees are always nice and accommodating. I'm new to the area and decided to give Betty a try. I booked an appointment for 6 to get my eyebrows done and was told it was $10. I waited 15 mins after 6 to get them done, was charged $13, and they're not done right. If you didn't want to do my eyebrows, you should have just said that! read more

My husband and I go there pretty often and I'd tell anyone willing to listen that Betty nails gives the best pedicures.. well we went about 2 weeks ago and my husband told the lady doing the pedicure to please not cut his toes short bc he didn't want an ingrown toenail. Well, she did the complete opposite AND she tried to cut out an ingrown toe nail that wasn't even there. Now his toe is SO SO infected. I feel so bad for him. I have been a customer at Betty's nails for over two years now and I absolutely loved getting pedicures here. I think $32 for the deluxe is a great deal! The price really exceeds the services provided. I visited today and was so unpleased with the services that I normally rave about to my peers. Two friends tagged along with me today and we were made fun of the entire time by the ladies doing our pedicures. They made it so obvious that they even laughed in our faces while showing their workers our feet. I understand that this is a common thing done at the nail salon but never has I­t­ been made so obvious. Not only was this so disrespectful to me and my friends, but it made me super uncomfortable to watch someone laugh at us. I am so disappointed. Shellac mani at this place is immaculate! However, because of their great manicures and high demand, the wait can be a bit long...like 40+ mins long. Other than that, no complaints! The staff is nice, professional, and they offer complimentary water and soda. read more

I love getting mani/pedi from Hannah! She is sweet and accommodating. I always feel pampered when I leave and consistently satisfied with the way my hands and feet look. They are super busy because they are good at what they do and don't rush through your service. So, plan to wait unless you're first in line when they open. I think I speak for most when I say that I don't like when people who speak a different language speak to each other with me sitting right there not knowing what's being said. But, I don't think we have many options to change that at this moment. So, if I have to get my mani/pedi done by people who may or may not be discussing me right in front of me, Betty Nails is where I'll get it! The shop is old, dated and not fancy at all. It could use updating and sprucing. They did start using those disposable tub covers when they do pedicures so that's a plus! I usually bring my own buffers, scrubbers and nail tools because I have seen many nail places use dirty tools on people and I'm not taking any chances. This was the seventh or eighth salon I have tried in Lafayette since moving here. By far, this was the most thorough attention I have gotten to my nails. I got a shellac manicure that was absolutely perfect. Hannah was meticulous in attending my cuticles, very careful and neat with the polish, and then I got an arm and hand massage when the polish was dry. I highly recommend them. read more

I've been to two other nail places and they didn't take nearly the time or detail as the nail tech did here! From the outside it looks a little sketchy, but the inside is nice. They have a good nail polish and shellac selection. I loved my deluxe pedicure ($32)!! Callus removal, mineral scrub, mud mask with hot towel and hot stone massage! I started to fall asleep I was so relaxed from my feet and legs being massaged so much! My nail tech paid close attention to detail when applying polish (toes and shellac) and trimming my nails. Really LOVED this place. We had four people get their nails done and everyone loved it! I've had a lot of pedicures in a lot of different places and this was by far the best. 1. They took their time to do a REALLY good job. There was no rush and the nails were perfect! 2. The massage was great! They took their time and did a good LONG massage. No rush with this either! 3. They didn't talk to each other excessively in Vietnamese. The place was quiet and relaxing! Be sure you set aside a couple of hours for your manicure experience, you may have to wait. I don't go in very often, but I was treated very well and they were extremely thorough. The only thing I might have done is made sure to let them know how I wanted my nails shaped before they started shaping them. Unfortunately, they already had done one hand before I realized that wasn't what I was looking for. However, they really did make it look great, and it was very reasonably priced for someone who doesn't really do her nails much. read more

I had gel nails and a pedicure. The gel nails stayed on for three weeks without one chip, very impressed. The only complaint is that they take a long time. If you want a manicure then you need to set aside two hours, I personally don't like to spend that much time on getting nails done. Everyone in the salon is very nice and the prices are good, they just need to speed up a little. read more

I am very happy with my nails and eye brow/face wax. Not only was the staff friendly they were meticulous in their work! I love my gel nails and I love Hanna the lovely little lady that did my waxing. She was awesome and also helped me with some directions to find a dress! It's really nice to find good reviews and get the same great service making me want to write this review. I'm still waiting to get a pedicure. I called ahead they told me they could take me right away. I've been waiting for 45 minutes with my feet in cold water and my toes getting all pruned. The women do a great job, however I find the male very cocky and self-absorbed. He does not trim cuticles as nice as the females. He could smile and speak a word OCCASIONALLY. Will not use him again. read more
