I chose this nail salon after reading a few Yelp reviews. In response to covid-19, they limit how many clients can be in the salon at a time. They still welcome walk-ins but prefer reservations to maintain social distancing. Additionally, each Mani and Pedi station has a plexiglass shield and they make clients skip a seat. The technicians wear a face mask, gloves and face shield. My technician Emmy was super nice and took her time doing my Mani and Pedi. I am extremely pleased with the service here. I've been coming to this salon for years. Sadly, it has been sold and is under new ownership. I went in for an ombré dip today and was completely appalled at how they came out. Very unprofessional looking. Looks like I tried to do them myself. The guy kept hitting my skin with the drill filer and then said I must have sensitive skin. The dip is so far onto the sides and the proximal area of my nail that it is covering my skin. It is already beginning to lift up. From the beginning it seemed like he didn't know what he was doing, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I paid $50 and wasted two hours of my Sunday just to have to go to Walmart and get acetone to be able to get this monstrosity off of my hands. I used to rave about the quality of their work and the care they took in making sure your nails were perfect. I am so disappointed. read more

So after waiting two hours to get my nails done I finally get seated and I get cut so now I'm bleeding then he paint my nails and I'm telling you my eight-month-old could have done a better job so then he tries to use acetone to remove the excess paint that's on the skin itself and all he does is smear it and he tried to clean it again and smeared it some more to where he gives up and leaves it like that. read more

For almost 2 years, Elite Nails is my go to salon in Lafayette. Lisa and her staff do an amazing job at making sure your nails are perfect before you leave. Typically, there's a wait, but for a good reason--they take their time and are good at what they do. I normally get dip powder nails and they last 4-5 weeks without coming off at all when I go to Elite, which means my natural nail is able to grow longer and healthier. When I was fairly new to Lafayette, I managed to mangle all my nails just prior to a bunch of business presentations I'd had to give and out of last minute desperation decided to try acrylics in hopes of looking presentable. Not my normal routine, so I tried a few different salons but couldn't ever figure out why the results didn't look great to me. Finally read a bunch of Yelp reviews and saw that Lisa had a great reputation for sculpting acrylics so decided to give Elite a try. Walked in late in the day and told them I wanted the current acrylics taken off and a full set reapplied. Lisa keeps a hawks eye on everything going on in that salon - she took one look and said she knew exactly what was wrong and could correct and reshape with just a fill. I would up keeping her and Tony there late, but they couldn't have been more gracious. Wound up leaving there with PERFECT nails and have been an absolutely faithful customer ever since!! Within one or two visits, they had me transitioned out of acrylics and into just gel polish, and my hands have always looked impeccable ever since. That is, just until last when I was out of town and wound up peeling off my gel AND ripping off my nails during a harrowing road trip down a rollercoaster road through the Ozark foothills in the snow. With a full week of business presentations coming up again, I've given the mangled fingers a chance to heal and guess what - off to Lisa for acrylics again!! Overall, can't say enough good things about this salon. Entire staff is talented and friendly, they remember you after your first visit and greet you by name, and always do a great job at a very reasonable price. I've had manicures, pedicures, acrylics, and gels, so I feel like I've gotten a sample of the full range of their services and they're consistent across everything. Needed a nice place to bring the bride to get mani/pedicures done the day before the wedding and let me tell you this place was amazing. Most of us in the group didn't have too much experience getting our nails done, but the staff were all super sweet and patient with us. The place was nice and clean and the chairs we sat in for our pedicures were so relaxing (they had massage options). The tubs had liners and all of the tools were newly opened so you know they were clean. The whole atmosphere was fun and relaxing and we couldn't have asked for a better way to take a breather before the wedding day. All of our nails looked great!!! One of the greatest Nail Salons I have ever attended! I walked in and was greeted immediately. The place had a calming feeling and look unlike most Nail Salons that are there to get you in and out. As the guy worked on me, he would actually have a conversation and ask how my day was going, and if I was enjoying myself.
