As such he does not accept health insurance and his office visits can be rather expensive when one has to pay out of pocket for the entire visit. He does spend a good amount of time listening to his clients, as compared to traditional medical doctors. Since he cannot prescribe medication, he will sell you his own private label vitamins and supplements as well as a "healthy" diet. Because he cannot prescribe FDA approved medicines, my results are mixed using supplements and diet. Overall I feel better, but the specific issue I went to him for remains unresolved. I have reccomend others to him.

There was a really long (socially distanced) line; I wasn't sure how soon I'd be seen. Most folks ahead of me must have been waiting for a COVID test ticket*. When I filled out my intake paperwork about half an hour later (a little after opening), I was told to expect about a half hour wait to be seen for my issue. I asked about how to walk to Dunkin (I don't have a car and had taken a Lyft). The two folks at the front desk helpfully pointed in the same direction. About half an hour later, I was back and was pointed to the waiting room. I waited some more time (probably less than half an hour), and my name was called. The nurse who got my medical history was really wonderful, friendly, sympathetic, genuine. Due to the location of my issue, I disclosed* that I am trans (FtM). She asked if I was comfortable being seen by either of the two male doctors, and I asked (light-heartedly but also genuinely) for "the nicer one". She says they're both really nice, and also asked if I wanted anyone else in the room. (*intake paperwork had only male/female options and no field for pronouns) At first I said no, but then I backtracked and asked if she was an option, which she was. As a trans person, getting health care in such an intimate area can be really nerve-wracking even if I didn't specifically feel unsafe. She returned moments later with a very warm doctor who I felt comfortable with in less than 5 seconds. He explained what he would be looking for and offered to examine me in whatever position was most comfortable (suggested lying on my side on the bed, which I did). I barely felt awkward at all, plus it was pretty quick since my issue was apparent (4th-degree hemorrhoids). The doctor recommended a specific colon/rectal surgeon: "she would be doing my surgery if I needed it." He advised me to take a fiber supplement and a laxative in the meantime (to avoid things getting worse by straining), and to drink plenty of water while doing so. He returned with a typed letter with those discharge instructions and also gave me a brief letter with his referral. CVS is right next door, so I went and got what I needed, and headed home. This was a really great experience. Definitely will come again if I need to in the future.

From my understanding, like every other facility they're supposed to take the appointments first, but they did not do that. I did speak with the office manager, Amanda, who told me that if 10 walk ins come in at 4:39 PM before my 4:40 appointment,- they will see those walk ins before my scheduled appointment - um what?? How does that make any sense?! Effectively, even though I have an appointment I get treated like walkin number 11?! The whole point of the appointment is to have a scheduled time? They need to clearly post this policy online so people such as myself are not taking PTO to show up for an appointment, and be treated like a walk in, which they claim it's their policy to do?! As a result, I was sitting in the waiting room for 25 minutes before I was called while they took all the walk-in appointments. I can completely understand if they're running late, but it is extremely disrespectful to my work schedule for me to take time off of work to show up there on time and then have them prioritize walk-in appointments over my scheduled appointment. I ended up having to get a refund and leave without being seen, which is absolutely ridiculous.

I had very bad side effects from those medications, and I felt like I was dying. So I went to see Dr.Han, he has changed my life. Not only are my kidneys in great shape, but I've also found that my asthma is significantly better along with congestion that I always had and didn't even realize it was an issue until it was gone. I was ALWAYS tired, for as long as I can remember, I was always so tired. Now I feel completely energized! There are so many things that this treatment can do for you. Dr. Bloom is definitely one of the best doctors I've had the pleasure of seeing for my issues and I've met some real doozies. He made me feel comfortable, listened to, and genuinely cared about. He has a good sense of humor which makes for a good bedside manner. Now keep in mind I haven't seen him in over 3 years and yet he knew me right away. I will continue to see Dr. Bloom for as long as medically necessary; and for as long as I'm in CT, you should to!

I was told they were deteriorating and I should come back as soon as next week to replace them. Make an appointment. This was explained to me as urgent. I switched dentists. My reasoning was this; while the original fillings were done the same day, there is no way all of them could be in need of replacement at the same time. As of September 2020 I still have the original fillings that I was made to feel were in urgent need of replacement with no issues. I specifically asked my new dentist about these fillings on my recent visit, he stated they were in great shape. I understand medical opinions are just that opinions, but I did not like what felt like at best a cavalier, and at worst a life insurance sales person pitch. The real complaint I have, is my wife quit the practice several months later with the same experience. She was decent enough to call the office and complain. She was told be staff she would get a call from the doctor. She did not. My suggestion, bother to get a second opinion from another dental office.
