I was really hesitant to try a chiropractor but finally went in the hopes of resolving a persistent and debilitating headache that was bugging me for over ten years. In the past, I had tried physical therapy, acupuncture, and had countless doctors/tests/prescriptions- all which helped for some time, but didn't find or cure the problem. Modern Chiropractic proved my dad right that posture is important- and that years spent with my nose in a book had caused damage in the curve of my neck. I have definitely had good and bad days since starting my visits, but the doctors are really patient and helpful- and even understanding when a killer bad headache has me crying in the waiting room. I have seen and felt an improvement over all and am hopeful that the headaches might be banished good. The women at the front desk are also awesome- they are friendly and welcoming, and make it a comfortable place where you feel valued. They are also very understanding when it comes to scheduling changes and they have a text service where you can contact them- which I just love as my schedule is never the same. I'm sorry but I cannot recommend this clinic. I just did not receive the care that I needed for my neck problems. I felt like because I did not buy the $2,000 package that they really no longer wanted to do the work. My treatments only lasted 3 to 4 minutes each time and I walked out with no relief. This chiro is very unprofessional. They do not put their patients in separate rooms, and everyone watches you get your back realigned. Also, he is a "one size fits all" and everyone gets the same realignment. And you have to pay $60 to sit in on a class with again, other people for a one size fits all stretching session. I was referred to Dr. Smith by my martial arts instructor after I injured myself and had very bad pain in my left groin and quad. I didn't buy into some of the claims of chiropractic adjustments. My wife had some bad experiences at another chiropractor years ago. I admit I was skeptical. But I trusted my martial arts instructor and decided to give it a try. It is true they offer more than just adjustments. They offer nutritional plans, alternative treatments for many issues, and above all, encouragement. I went to Dr. Smith for my groin pain and instead of just fixing that, he and his wife, Donnett, changed my life. I started the nutrition plan shortly after starting adjustments on my spine. In 4 months, I lost 50 lbs. I used to suffer from migraines. I haven't had a migraine since I started seeing him. I also had very bad seasonal allergies. I was miserable in Spring time for about 6 weeks. No more. They are almost gone. I can't say I have zero symptoms but I'm off all allergy medications and I do not dread the Spring anymore. After calling and telling them my insurance, they told me that my carrier is good there so I went in to talk about my lower back pain. They kept trying to talk to me about my neck once I got there, almost pushing for me to have pain there too. Then they have me stand for an X-ray when I told them I was there for something specific and I have severe pain. They don't attach anything to me to stabilize my spine like any back specialist would, so obviously the X-rays were just to try and use a snapshot of my one-time bad posture to pretend like I have scoliosis. Then they send me home and tell me to come back tomorrow. I come back and it's not even the same doctor. He couldn't seem to care less about my specific pain and tries to jump right into a 3 month, 3 day a week $4,000, general back straightening program. I called him out on it for ignoring every concern and hope that I voiced over both visits. So he told me I don't have to make a decision, he can correct me now and I can think it over. He gives me a general correction that had no focus on my lower back and walks me to the receptionist to book me for THE NEXT DAY. I tell him I'm concerned about the price (as they assured me my carrier was good there but never gave specifics after my first visit.) the chiropractor told me that I had 3 free visits before insurance has me pay. Now I have a $400 bill for two visits(wasn't warned I wouldn't even be looked at the first visit), 2 xrays(fraudulently or negligently done and no idea why it's 2), and a correction (that dealt more to my neck than the actual lower back pain I went for). Not to mention, I now have severe pain in my neck when I move it backwards. So thank you, for lying about my insurance, trying to con me into an expensive back straightening program, ignoring everything I told you about my pain and then causing more pain to a different area of my back. I'll be talking to a lawyer before you get a dime from me. read more
