The site is level, (bar the speed ramps), and there are accomodation specifically for wheelchair users. The site has a great entertainments programme with both day and night entertainement. The evening cabaret includes shows, bingo, kids games. The passes are included in with the price of the holiday. There is an extensive indoor swimming pool, which is lush. this is a family friedly site and I would highly recommend it. The site is a gentle 10 minute walk to the beach.

We found the park to be lovely, the reception is like a Spanish Hacienda and there's a very tropical feel to the whole park with lots of palm trees and sandy open areas. The accomodation we stayed in was top notch and disabled friendly. The clubhouse was spotlessly clean and the staff were so friendly we knew them all like friends by the end of our stay. The food onsite is great, much better than the normal food in places like this. The entertainment is fantastic and there's no fees for passes it's all included in your holiday, there's tons to do in the local area, I heartily recommend a holiday here you will love it and the beach is wonderful.

Its a very handy place for visiting the town...one really good point is that you can enter and exit the hotel to town directly via a separate lift - really useful given all the hills in Torquay The room was very good; everything you need...the breakfast was great...check out simple...very good Two downsides - you look down on the neighbouring property; its a total mess in the courtyard, nothing the Hilton can fix of course...so best to look out to sea! And the parking is behnd the Hilton and behind the other Hotel there...uphill...so its a porblem with double yellow lines outside...you have to tramp back and forth to the hotel with luggage and its steep...again nothing they can do, but be aware if you have accessibilty issues. Hilton did respond on this as they always do but not sure they can do anything Would return of course - but what have they done to Torquay itself...last here in 1971...but its like all the buildings have been allowed no matter the style, all thrown up in the air and settled down higgledy-piggeldy We enjoyed walking around the harbour and looking at the shops - it was a lovely day

You will also find a laundrette , play area , swimming pool ,shop and a clubhouse that has a bar. The park is clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly and helpful. You will find great entertainment for the whole family , the last time I was there we were unable to take a buggy into the clubhouse but I don`t know if that has changed. The shop is well stocked and is quite resonable or you can leave the park and walk down the hill where you will find a variety of shops at good prices , just be warned though you then have to walk back up the hill! I really recommend this park their holiday prices have always been cheap I just hope that now they have been taken over by a big company that they won`t hike up the prices.

There is an indoor swimming pool and outdoor water slides. I found the site excellent. The site was also very clean. If there were any complaints it must be pointed at the club. It is so cramped over a night, it must pose a fire hazard. I'm sure people must have slept there over night to ensure they got their place the following evening. There are some great arcade games for the kids and many fast food type establishments for for thos who feel a bit peckish. There are also restaurants on the site. The beach is not a far distance away. A great place but room for improvement as far as the club is concerned.

As with all Haven parks there is a huge indoor area filled with amusment and gambling machines to urge you to part with your money whilst the weather is too bad for you to be doing anything else. The caravans range from very basic to very nice so depending how much you spend will depend on how you live whilst you are there. There is a beach paralel to the park but access is limited, all in all I would say this park is ok to visit but no more than that, I am certainly in no hurry to head back although if the price was right I would re-visit.

The…read moretrue reason behind the Best Western takeover of this hotel was the addition of the Premier Inn chain coming to Newton Abbot. The Premier Inn is extremely basic, but it is also very new and clean. This review will be comparing the Passage House to the Premier Inn, as they are the two best/only options in Newton Abbot. Food Options: Premier Inn wins this category. They have an onsite restaurant (Beefeater Grill) that is decent, but they are also directly across from a Tesco and a 1 mile walk from downtown. The passage house has a limited fine dining restaurant in the hotel and a Pub on site. The pub food is marginal at best, and the restaurants don't have ideal hours of operation. The Passage House does get a bonus point for having a mini fridge in the room. Facilities: This one is a draw. Premier Inn is newer and cleaner, but the passage house has better amenities. One major note, the Passage House does NOT have A/C. So if you catch one of the few hot weeks in South England, you are in for a miserable stay (which I experienced on this visit). The Passage House has a pool and a fitness center, but the equipment in the fitness center is extremely outdated. While staying at either place, your best option is to visit Winners 2000 or the Newton Abbot Leisure Center for a local workout. The Passage House does have a running trail that connects you to downtown Newton Abbot, which is nice if it's not raining (so almost never). Lastly, the wifi is terrible at both places (UK standard), but at least it is free at the Passage House.

On the negative side I found the swimming pool to be small size, in relation to the park its ok, but at peak times or the british weather the pool gets crowded.

The entertainment team are fantastic and full of energy they want every one to enjoy there holiday as much as possible. From the site, you can see open water, which really makes me feel like I am away from home. The swimming pool is quite small and basic but it is finding for the size of the park. There are many hills on the park, which was not a problem for me, but it could be for others. The kids club was great the children had a great time parents can either stay with them or leave them to play games and collect them later. I stayed and found that they did some really good games with the children.

Devon is a very nice area to visit and if you stay in a place like this it makes your visit all the nicest. Although the hotel is quite expensive it's great for weekend breaks. To me it looked like a very historic building. The hotel itself offers several lodges scattered all over the ground so you get a great deal of privacy and you are no to far away from the main hotel. This is ideal for couples or families. It is more of a relaxing break rather than a lively break for the younger people amongst us. If you want to take some time out give this place a look.
