I just had my long anticipated mommy makeover on Wednesday with Dr. Hodnett and I cannot find enough words to express how happy, thankful, and excited I am for my results and my overall experience. I received my breast reduction from Dr. Hodnett on August 7 of this year. I had uneven breasts, a tuberous breast, and wore a size 36DDD bra. I am now probably somewhere around a 36C and I could not be happier with the results and the price I got the surgery at. Just know that if there is anything specific you are unsure about in regards to the healing process, you have to point it out to him specifically, even if he is able to see it for himself. I had some concerns about decaying skin in some areas, and i mentioned this to him and he said it was nothing to worry about. This is not a negative review of Richard Hodnett, the surgeon; this is a negative review of his poor staff and how they handled my situation. I contacted this company in advance to set up an appointment, two days before the 4th of July. A free consultation. The staff NEVER told me they did not accept insurance & I told them I had Medicare! I arrived, I filled out their paperwork & mentioned to the women at the front that I had Medicare and I was glad that Medicare would cover the procedure I was inquiring about. She never said anything about them not accepting insurance or Medicare. I waited to meet with the doctor, I have to say, Dr Hodnett was amazing, honestly the best part of my experience. He and his nurse / assistant were very nice. He told me upfront that they did not accept insurance. I told him all I had was Medicare and that I knew that Medicare would cover the procedure. When I told him my story of being a two-time terminal rare cancer survivor & that I helped other people with cancer, I think he decided that he wanted to find a way to help. So he told me that he would write down the procedure as a needed medical procedure, which could possibly help he said. He proceeded to take numerous photos of me and told me to talk to Martha, the financial consultant that could talk to me about the financial details, he would have her look into and try to see how much he could get Medicare to cover. I don't think a doctor would have told me that, had that not been an intention to try to help. So he told me to wait until Martha came to get me.  I waited in the room & a woman passed by & asked what I was waiting for. I told her I was waiting for Martha. I told her what the doctor had told me and she said to me "We don't accept that", as in we don't accept insurance or Medicare. I told her that the doctor had said something different & was still going to have me meet with the financial consultant Martha. She left me in the room and walked away, but came back by a couple minutes later and told me that there was no point in me meeting with Martha because they were not going to accept the Medicare and they would not help. They wouldn't even let me meet with her despite what the doctor had said. She said the doctor didn't do the insurance, that he was a third party and didn't really know how that works. This doctor also has a private practice, perhaps he wanted to help either way. This woman spoke to me like I wasn't important and like it didn't matter. because she told me that there was no way the doctor would be helping me, I demanded that my photos be deleted immediately. She responded by asking for my insurance card to take a photocopy and told me she would look into it and get back to me. Wow change of heart?! Probably not. Just a way to get rid of me. she said she would get back to me in two days. I felt like I was being run out of the office, the office should have been well prepared. Knowing what insurance they accepted especially the receptionist and the person who took my initial consultation appointment. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt, after two days I sent her this email. They responded to me a couple days later with a phone call. Once again they came off unprofessional and rude. Talking down to me and trying to explain to me that they didn't accept Medicare, I get it I understand that perfectly I just didn't understand why no one else would really provide me the information up front. I told her how disappointed I was and them I didn't appreciate being talked to you the way that I did, I didn't appreciate that they took my information with no intention of really doing anything, and I didn't appreciate the fact that they never even thought to talk to me about the financials even though the doctor said that they would. She didn't care. She didn't even really apologize but she did tell me that the doctor had deleted all of my photos. Good. I asked her to shred my Medicare card copy, who knows why they even took that probably to get me out of that office. So this is why you're getting this fabulously written review of my experience at your center.if you want to get a surgery, I suggest just contacting Richard Hodnett's office in Thousand Oaks and not going through Beverly Hills Physicians. Keep in mind they do not accept insurance. But my best advice for anyone looking for a plastic surgeon is to go to The Kryger institute, which is across the street from Armstrong garden in Thousand Oaks on Thousand Oaks boulevard. I would never use this place. The doctor was nice as best and left me feeling like my entire body needed to be altered, I have never felt worse and. I think someone in this field should be more sensitive when NEWS FLASH BUDDY we are the ones paying YOU. I was quoted approximately $15,000.00 for work to be done and when I asked about paying cash and asked for a discount they offered a 5% discount. WHAT A JOKE. I cannot believe how cold someone in the field could be. You are dealing with women and their bodies. We clearly feel insecure which is why we are in your office. The staff was nice, but whoevcer made the 5% discount call clearly must not be use to dealing with patients who can afford to pay out of pocket. The also added a charge for a garment. In July, I had a breast augmentation, and chose Dr. hodgenett over several other physicians because I simply felt comfortable and was confident that he understood that it was important to me to look natural. 3 1/2 months after my breast lift/aug and tummy tuck surgery and I can't believe how amazing I look and feel. Dr. Hodnett is professional and honest. Both him and Jeanette made sure I understood all of the after care. I can't emphasize how important it is to follow the doctor's orders because that is also part of the success of the surgery. I'm sorry that your company doesn't recognize what truly took place after three surgeries. That alone shows the errors. However, please note that I went to each appointment that was scheduled after surgery. I had drains in my stomach that required me to go for weeks following. I made numerous after hour calls due to complications with the dr telling me it's normal. I was never informed of additional follow up after the 3rd month probably due to the surgeon actions at the last visit hearing my disappointment , he or his team never scheduled. Your response is complete false and the truth will be known. It took me this long as I have had fear of dealing with this situation. I was informed by the team after the 2nd surgery to not pay on the remaining $3000 of the $11000 I paid. In additional, your team orders things and request cash to "save". I attempted to discuss this to find a solution away from social media however this is how you handle things. I didn't want more surgery (wouldn't trust it) but to you to listen to how I have lived this past year. That's it. To learn from my situation. I have another surgeon that will correct the error. I just wanted to discuss this.. You have just lied and made it my fault. I'm the patient, as a dr, you should call if k was missing such appointments ! I have emails, pictures, video and witnesses to each visit from staff telling me to not pay, cash exchange, dr verbal yelling and pictures. I was drawn in by the $10 botox email. The staff was rather unprofessional and the "Dr." never introduced himself to me or even took the time to explain to me anything about the procedure knowing it was my first time. Did they assume all the waivers you sign is enough explanation? Anyways, he was in for about 30 seconds and didnt bother to make me feel the slightest bit comfortable. He analyzed my face and pointed out where I needed it then left the room abruptly. I don't even know his name to this day. He was money hungry like nobody's business though and then brought some other lady, who again did not bother to introduce herself either to tell me the cost ($300). I was kind of surprised and sat there thinking. I said yes (even after my instinct told me to get out of there). She told me 'we like our patients to pay upfront to get things moving and expedite the process". What the hell does that even mean (money hungry indeed). At that point I started to ask questions- side effects? Any limitations? She was very flimsy with her answers and could see my uncertainty. She was pushy and thought that brining in a patient who had just had the procedure 5 minutes ago and swore it was painless and had no side effects and the best thing ever- would convince me it was for me. At that moment I listened to my gut and declined. The "Dr." never came back to say good bye or come again and see us, or a word. He was short and wore glasses and somewhat older (55-60?). This place is definitely you get what you pay for. All the commercials on the radio and the so called deals give you bad customer service and no professionalism. I felt grimy just walking out of there. Although I am still interested in Botox I am looking for a little more personalized service. When I finally chose to go forward with my decision to get a breast augmentation It was very important to me to do as much research as possible and go to as many consultations I could to find the best Doctor and staff to ensure I got the the best results. It was also equally as important to me I felt comfortable and had as much knowledge and guidance through every step. BHP was the very first consultation I had and from the moment I walked in the door the staff was absolutely amazing. Everyone I came in contact with was  friendly and comforting. I have to say Tracy was nothing short of AMAZING! I could go on and on about how wonderful she is. She went above and beyond to help me with any and every question or concern I had. My experience with the Thousand Oaks location of Beverly Hills Physicians and Dr. Hodnett has been nothing but positive. From the moment I walked into their office, I knew I would be getting my long awaited augmentation done with them. I also opted to get some liposuction done to my pectoral folds and bra line. I've gone to several consultations with other plastic surgeons over the years and I've never felt completely at ease, supported and heard as I did with Dr. Hodnett and his team. He listened to what I wanted, made appropriate recommendations and was very professional. Do not go to Dr. Hodnett!!! He completely messed up my nose. He assured me that he has done the procedure many of times and was great at doing it. For my post op he would just look at me and say " oh yeah...everything looks great." NO!!! My nose is now slanted and looks terrible. I just went in to get the bridge of my nose taken down a bit and he did other things to it he was not supposed to. When I went in to show him the bad job he had done, he said that he couldn't see what I was talking about. My family and friends can totally notice what I am seeing. I wish I would have never gone to him. He did nothing for me after that. No money return or he didn't try to fix it. read more

This was the worst experience of my life. The doctor took a chunk of the money in cash, nothing "fishy" about that, right? The sales manager cannot keep eye contact while speaking to you...I should have run then! I paid a fortune, went through hell and I did not even drop ONE dress size. My breasts are now permanently deformed and it will be a cold day in Hell when I let a doctor try to "fix" things again!
