If you can't find what you are looking for here, you are...a colossal alcoholic. Or at least, a very picky one! Well stocked, well staffed...and no well drinks to be found! Intuitively laid out, with top shelf grog on...well, the top shelf, of course...and the lessor liquors found below. Prices are as competitive as they can be, considering the state tax, but you can find cheaper liters across the river, if you can be bothered...but you're not likely to find mo' bev anywhere other than BevMo! read more

An astounding selection of beer, wine and liquors. They have the special Norwegian pilsner that I love and have previously only been able to find at one store in Portland. Their staff is also second to none - not only do they know where everything in the store is, they can also tell you just about anything you'd want to know about the products. Recently I went in with a challenge - I wanted to take a local representation of beers with me on an international trip, and thus had to cram a good variety under a 2.25 liter limit to avoid paying import duties. I'm not a beer connoisseur, so I enlisted the help of a staff member. Not only was she able to suggest four different bottles, she was able to help do the math to ensure I stayed under the duty free limit! Um this company is pricey, then you have a tax that costs more than the actual product. Da fuk? 12.99/4 cans pre mix liquor. $21.00 at checkout with cashier saying he saved me $6 bucks. To begin, I'm not an alcohol drinker at all. I stopped into BevMo! to see what they may have had in non-alcoholic beverages. They had a nice selection of cheeses, snacks, glassware, and "boutique" sodas (some of which are bottled by Rocket Fizz). They didn't stock any kmobucha, sadly. The store is clean and bright, and is quite large. Probably 95% of it is dedicated to alcoholic beverages. The staff is very friendly, and prices are reasonable. read more

Big liquor store with a nice variety of beer, wine, spirits & other non-alcoholic options. They also have some snacks and a few party supplies like cups, party picks, etc. They aren't as huge as Total Wine & More, but still on the large size. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer questions or offer suggestions. They have little signs that tell you if the beverage you are looking at is available in the chilled case as well, which is a bonus. I believe they organize their beers by type of beer rather than by region, which is fine by us because it makes it a lot easier to view all the options when you are looking for a specific style of beer. read more

I ventured out briefly to see what's going on in the world of "social distancing" and pick up an order. Our Local BevMo store is semi-open, you have to order on-line or call in, pay in advance, and then they give you a "window" of time to pick up. No one is allowed in the store to wait or browse, and a member of the staff meets you at the door, but at a distance. They have it set up so you don't have to be near anyone, you go to a table and sign for your order, already picked and packed, and then wheel it outside. It's easy to keep your distance and the staff, as always, was very helpful. I think that they are handling things really well considering these troubled times. Their on-line ordering system is well thought out also, and easy to navigate after you take a look around and get a feel for it. Quality of life counts and BevMo is there to help. read more

They're really good for having access to different types of alcohol, non-alcoholic bevs, mixers, etc., compared to say going to a grocery store. However their selection isn't the best. Total Wine & More by Vancouver Mall has a much bigger selection and they are open to ordering stuff they don't have and you want. Ambiance-wise BevMo is clean, airy and well organized. The service is also pretty good but they do not have associates walking around to check and see if you need help. So you have to go find them at the registers. But I will say, at the registers, there has never been an unpleasant store associate. read more

My first racist experience today. At BevMo. I tell the guy I want 2 $79.99 bottles of Uncle Nearest and he replies with "You mean Uncle Farthest"? Like wtf u mean?? Then the lady cards me but no others stating it's discretionary, mind you I'm the only black girl in the store at the time. Then the guy in front of me looks at my Juneteenth shirt and asks me for my address so he can show up for the celebration all while tripping over the basket in front of him when leaving and then stopping to tell me I did it. What a way to start my afternoon out. Sadly, I'm a member here and this is the first time I have ever had this treatment before. I have shopped at this store a few times since we moved to Vancouver last year. Their prices here on nearly everything are higher than other stores. You need to join their club to get the "sale" prices and clip coupons to bring those prices down to what you would pay elsewhere. I have only shopped there for beer and this store apparently does not check or rotate their stock often. I have seen outdated beers on the shelves there every time I have shopped in the store--some with dates from a year and a half ago. These are Pilsners, pale ales, and fresh hop beers-- not barrel aged beers which you want to age-- and not just a random six pack or two. I recommend that if you do buy beer at BevMo that you check the dates first. read more

What the hell am I doing at BevMo at 745 in the morning on a Wednesday? Why waiting for a rare whiskey lottery, of course! Wait... what? As one of my fellow patrons mentioned... "We should have our heads examined." See, there are not many reasons I'll cross the bridge to the 'Couve, and buying liquor with Washington's ridiculous 20% tax is definitely at the bottom of the list. But when a store like BevMo is doing something democratic like holding a lottery to see who gets to buy some Antique Collection? Well, that's worth the trip and potential expense (if you win). See this stuff is pretty hard to come by. And even in the supposedly egalitarian liquor system of Oregon, the fix is in. Unless you're on the inside, you ain't gettin' shit. So when I found out BevMo was offering a very fair way of apportioning their allocation of small-batch whiskies, I figured what the heck. Why not see if I can score a bottle? And lucky me... The folks here are friendly and fair. And the prices (pre-tax) are reasonable. The selection is good. The store layout works. And even though the location is remote even from downtown Vancouver, it's a solid place to get liquor. If, that is, you simply don't have the time to cross the border to Oregon and buy it at a 20% discount. Which can translate to a lot of money if you're buying anything expensive. Yeah it's a chain, but a well-stocked one. And I give them extra props for making it so an average person actually has a shot at getting something special. I had high expectations that a California style BevMo was coming. Unfortunately it is just a mini-BevMo. Very good selection of high end spirits that seem to be unavailable in Oregon. HOWEVER the tax is a killer. Looked up my purchase on-line and I would have spent less in Oregon. Only 9 feet of old-tyme sodas vs 20+ feet in CA. Poor selection of WA/Or wines. Limited imported wines except NZ and Australia. Not much selection of white varietals beyond Pinot Gris and Moscato. Get with the trends boys. Not everything comes from California. I went here out of sheer curiosity and to see how it stacked up against Total Wine across town. There was an immediate difference and it was for the better. Good: * Lighting was pleasant. * Layout, once you get your bearings, makes sense. * Not too overwhelming, but still comprehensive selection. * NO pushy head-set staff every 6.75 feet to "help" you or hold you emotionally captive. * Food/snack selections that are better than average. * Drink accessories and mixers not easily found elsewhere. * Beer selection is organized well. * You can walk in to the keg cooler, all by yourself, and pick your keg...like a big boy! * Ditto for the growler fill...go in the cooler, and fill it yourself like a grown man...I love it. * Friendly check-stand staff - quick, painless process. * Excellent Selection of Cigars Needs Work: * This won't change, but the prices are a little higher than elsewhere. * More entry-level liquor and wine options needed. * Like most of the PNW, enough with the 10,000 IPA's and get something else. * British, Irish, and Scottish beer selection is very small. * Good cigars looking like they aren't quite stored right. * Good cigars, still about 15%+ more than Paul's down the road. Overall, none of these negatives were enough to pull down the rating to 3. It's a decent store and it will have things that you won't find elsewhere (caviar? yep.). I'm glad that real retailers can sell spirits now in Washington - I'll be even more glad in a year or two when the market corrects, competition is where it needs to be, and the prices come down. It will be better than the government price-fixing monopoly was before. But I digress. My GF brought me here all excited about a new liquor store that was supposedly awesome that she had seen in California or somewhere. I was like, OK sure, it's a liquor store... It's shiny and new, friendly staff, good selection, but all I could see was $$$TAXES$$$. Alright, if this store was in Seattle and I had no other option to buy, it would be great, but in Vancouver, if I'm really wanting booze, it's worth my time to drive the 5 miles across the river to save $8 per bottle in taxes. I guess I'm not as picky as some, if I want a bottle of good booze, I don't care that the store is shiny and the staff is friendly. My soul is already crushed enough to want that bottle of booze after all, so I don't really feel like paying a 6 pack's worth of taxes for further soul crushing while there is a viable alternative. And 'discount liquor' is something of a fallacy when you get to tack that much on the top of everything you buy. Eh. My GF loved it, but I think I will continue going to my run down (but actually cheap) store in OR on the way home from work. They have pretty much the same booze and I can still poison myself, but it's cheaper. read more

I guess I'm just spoiled by having lived next to Total Wine and More for such a long time. When I first walked into BevMo, I was quite disappointed. They have an okay selection of wines and liquors, but it's relatively small. There are wines, beers, and ciders in cooler cases, but it's a completely random selection. It was as expected, nice and clean, good customer service but the downfall is the selection of beer. They do carry alot of local craft beers, but if you're looking for something regional odds are you won't find it here. (I've tried 3 times with 3 different regional beers, and one regional whiskey and they didn't have any of them. The whiskey they never even heard of) It's a decent store, just not my go to. read more

I fell in love with BevMo when I lived in San Diego. Couldn't get over that 5-cent wine sale. I've since found many other wonderful places to buy wine (Grocery Outlet, Hollywood Beverage) but I still appreciate BevMo for what it is. It offers a wide selection of cider that my local New Seasons does not. However, it's mead selection is seriously lacking. How about bringing in some local mead, Bevmo? They do growler fills and have periodic tastings here. They also offer a wide array of snacks and mixers to go along with your beverages. Overall a great place to have around. This place is an awesome warehouse with even party accessories and pairings... they have cheese selections to go with their huge assortment of wine. What I really love is that my Macallan's and HIghland Park single malt scotches are frequently on sale.
