My mom has had two appts so far with Dr. Andrew and he is incredible. Friendly, calm and very patient. Acupuncture (like most things) is not a one-and-done situation. You must go a few times in a decently short amount of time to see real, lasting improvement. My mom definitely saw significant improvement, however, even just after the first appt. She slept great that night (which is not always the case)... and was really looking forward to her second appt because of the positive changes she experienced after just the first visit. I had a sprained ankle, and decided to do some acupuncture to heal it. I discovered Beyond Acupuncture through my roommate who had some work done with Andrew, and got some results from it. To my surprise, Andrew was a young guy. I was used to having acupuncture done from doctors in their 60s or 70s. But I discovered that it is actually better to have acupuncture done with a younger person, because of they have more energy & stronger vibration that they can channel to you for your healing. Andrew started off by putting some pins into my right hand, which is the pressure point for my ankle. The moment he put the pins in, I can feel the "spirit" energy coming from Andrew and into my hands. I felt the tingly sensation from all the energy, and it brought relief to my sprained ankle. Andrew had me walk around to see if it my ankle felt better and I already started to walk better (less limping). I've been experiencing sciatica for a while now. I came across Andrew, and we talked about my condition. He asked about the location of my pain. Typically, my lower back gets tensed up, and depending on the days when I overwork my back, I feel a sharp pain in my lower back and an annoying tingling down my left leg. I started seeing Dr. Andrew last year for immune issues and chronic migraines that I've had for about 10 years. Dr. Andrew is awesome! Having tried acupuncture a few times without much effect, I was skeptical of going to Dr. Andrew's office. The original purpose of my visit was for a lingering shoulder pain that I've had for about 20 years. Within couple of sessions, Dr. Andrew was able to significantly increase the movement of my left shoulder without pain. Given the success I had with my shoulder, I brought up another issue I've suffered through for nearly as long, which is my heart palpitation. As I got on with age, I found that the palpitations got worse. Magnesium supplement helped a bit but after awhile I couldn't take any more without suffering through one of its unpleasant side effects. Through acupuncture and herb medicine, Dr. Andrew was able to moderate my palpitations.
