The Underground Bookstore, according to their website, has been around for over 30 years. I really enjoyed just looking around as the store was packed full of books and home decor. My husband ended up buying a Harriet Tubman plaque type item for our home, as well as a book. I would definitely recommend The Underground Bookstore to anyone looking for books or decor relating to African and African American history. I will be asking my husband to come back next time as there was a $45 book about poetry that was out of my price range this trip.
