This shop is really beautiful-clean, well maintained, awesome artwork everywhere. The shop owner Dav is super friendly and great at responding to emails, phone calls and keep up with clients. The shop is slightly off the main drag in Jenison and when I pulled up, I thought that they were closed but we had made appointments months in advance, so we were good to go! Tony Putt did my tattoo and I am so grateful for this experience. I've been following Tony on instagram for a while now @sharktoothtony and fell in love with his tattoo designs and use of color. As my sister and I were planning on sister tattoos, I decided to go to Tony and my sister to Dav. For our tattoos, we wanted a cow skull and flowers but because we had different aesthetics in mind, each tattoo artist designed a totally different tattoo to fit our wants/needs. When we arrived at the studio and Tony showed me the design, I nearly gasped as it was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what I had dreamed of and more. I am artist myself but am always shocked and pleasantly surprised at how when given some simple prompts and ideas for tattoos, many tattoo artists can come up with the most amazing designs perfect for a tattoo. Tony's design was the perfect mix of art nouveau, modern, and a mix of bold and delicate. Tony's studio is really beautifully decorated with dark navy walls and artwork covering nearly every square of space. He had traditional flash on the walls, colorful paintings, and taxidermy animal heads. The space felt comfortable and he provided me with a pillow for comfort. I love getting tattoos but I hate the process of getting them done. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, they hurt like hell. The whole time, like every.single.minute. Tony was really relaxed and made me feel comfortable the whole time. He is professional and the tattoo turned out incredibly gorgeous. I am so excited about this whole experience and hope that I get to come back to him again someday!

We spontaneously decided to get birthday tattoos, and Olivia helped us decide on poppies, our birth flower. She took her time drawing up designs for us, adjusting as needed. I wanted something with fine lines, simple, dainty and delicate, and Olivia "understood the assignment," as the young people say. She was friendly, gentle, and precise. I love my new tattoo, and am so happy I stopped in. Highly recommend Olivia and the shop. Also, the shop is SO cool. It was beautiful and unique inside, with lots of plants and just a great, unintimidating vibe.

The person that did our tattoo was Ben and he was very patient with all of the questions that we had and was very thorough on explaining what needed to be done before and after. The first time I came in, I did not have my ID with me and he would not let me get my tattoo, which is understandable and I do appreciate the fact that the company does follow the rules. The tattoo artist also kept everything very, very clean and was able to sanitize before and after each guest, which I really appreciated. My mom and I were hesitant to make sure that we had the exact size and placement that we wanted and he was very patient as we Decided and he did have re do some drawings for us and was patient with that as well. Getting a tattoo isn't pleasant but Ben did a great job of explaining what he was going to do, how long it would take and he told us when he was beginning. He made sure we were okay the entire process. The vibe of the place is unique with action figures and posters all around. It's fun to look at while you're waiting. I had to listen to her go on and talking about drama she has with her ex-husband and apparently trying to get some guy she knows to fight him and laughing about it like she's in middle school??? It reminded me of like listening to an episode of jerry springer or that "catch me outside" girl from Dr. Phil. Kinda trashy. I am not a fan and I was blown away when I realized she actually runs the shop. Incredibly unprofessional. I didn't like the vibe there at all and I will not be back. I've been to many other tattoo studios around the area that are way more professional and friendly, which is who I will be taking my business to. Every time I go, I am greeted my a very friendly front desk worker, (sorry I can't remember your name :/), and the lady who does my piercings is very precise and professional!
