We had been working with a contractor/real estate agent for several months, who abandoned our project and was trying to bully us into making decisions that were not in our best interest. By the grace of God, we came across this agency while looking for an appraisal to see where we were. He immediately stepped up, realized we were in trouble and went to work with us. He patiently stood by us while we tried for months to terminate our contract with the original realtor and was an invaluable mentor through the entire process. With Chris's help, we were able to get referrals to TRUSTWORTHY contractors, get the work done, and he worked tirelessly to get the house shown, advise us on what needed to be done, fielded phone calls and emails, re-listed, aggressively marketed, and supervised the progress every day. We finally closed YESTERDAY, and would not have been able to do it without his help and the support of his team. We will forever be grateful for his unwavering support and service to us. Today, we have a happy ending, and my parents' future is secure thanks to Chris and The Family Real Estate Group. YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER GROUP of realtors in Charleston. Thank you again!

I want to share my experience within one week timeframe with True Homes. I contacted them to get…read moreinfo on a semi-custom home they had for sale in Ridgeville, SC (had been on market for a little over 5 mos). I called a phone # on their sign on Sat. 5/23/26. I did not leave a message as I assumed they were closed for Memorial weekend. A very nice lady called me Sunday a.m. and said there was a missed call from my phone. I asked if the address of the home was avail for sale. She informed me it was and would have the Sales Market Parter, Adam Pismeny give me a call. He did about 15 mins later. He was cordial and answered some of my questions. He said if I had anymore questions to let him know. We decided later to go by and take a deeper look at the home from the outside. That weekend in Chas. we finally got much needed rain. While we were there one of their salesmen, Landon was showing the (3) homes they had for sale and allowed us to go in and actually see the house from the inside. He was extremely nice and patient. We did not feel rushed and you could tell right away that he cared about potential clients. When we were inside I was immediately taken back at carpet in master suite and sitting area. As we continued to look at the other bdrms, room over garage & sep bdrm it was carpeted as well. We really looked at the house inside & out as $639,500 for a home on a very busy street finding out later that dump trucks are up and down the road at all hours. While we were there, we noticed there were some areas that may need some more grading. The houses for sale to the left and right were completely sodded and most of those lots were cleared. The house and lot we were looking at had a lot of bare areas where there should have been sod and a good bit of wooded area with trees down within the property pins. I texted Adam and asked if I could get a price on replacing the carpet with the laminate that was on the other floors, if they were finished with the grade and if they had only sodded certain areas and finished with clearing back of lot. I mentioned to him that as the buyer, I was doing a list of "needs and wants". We definitely knew we were going to screen in the back porch (at our cost). I asked him since the houses to the left and right had not sold, would we be able to cut down a couple pine trees that were tall and with wind and a duration of rain in Chas. I've seen many pine trees as well as some old oak trees come down and didn't want them to come down on house. I also told him it would be at our cost. I NEVER in any of my conversations with him asked True Homes to pay for anything! I did ask if $11,000 was the best that True Homes could do for the carpet replacement. I had also asked him to find out if the material was in stock because if our offer would be acceptable, time was of the essence. There were a couple of questions that I asked Adam that he did not come back with accurate information and as the buyer, it started making me question True Homes documentation on a semi-custom home. I ended up having to do my own research since I wasn't getting the correct info from Adam. He was supposed to get back with me on Wed. 5/27. Well here's the first unbelievable thing with a SALES MARKET PARTNER, he GHOSTED me. I contacted their Corp office on Thur. 5/28 to express my dissatisfaction with the Chas staff. I spoke with a Mariann Fletcher. I told her about my experience and let her know that I did not want to speak or deal anymore with anyone from the Chas office and she asked if I would speak to a Melissa in their legal area. She transferred me to her extension and I left my name and phone # for her to return my call. About a half hour later I get a call from a Tripp Bricketto who states he's the Construction Market Partner with Adam. I asked him are you in Chas? He said yes. Honestly, I cannot remember exactly how the conversation started because I was stunned that someone from Chas was calling me. I believe he kinda asked in a flipped way what was going on. I went through my story gave him some examples of how I didn't get clear info from Adam. He informed me that they were in an ownership meeting the day before. I asked "is that an excuse to not communicate with your client?" I could clearly tell he was not interested in me as a client. I cannot fathom his next statement. He said "IT APPEARS THIS HOME ISN'T A FIT FOR YOU AND YOU WOULD BE BETTER SUITED FOR A CUSTOM BUILT HOME". He stated that with the carpet change out, me wanting a screened porch and pine trees question. I reminded him that I never asked or demanded anything from True Homes. I stated during my conversation with Adam and in my texts with him it would be at my costs. I find it interesting that ownership with a mission stmt "TO BE EXCEPTIONAL IN HOW YOU RELATE WITH YOUR CLIENT" would find Tripp and Adam's behavior acceptable and professional. It's my belief though that Ownership doesn't care either!
