Ok so you buy a ticket get on and go. Sounds simple... and when in Bethlehem PA your choices are nothing else. I must describe why Bieber bus is the absolute worst. I called Sunday as the website says to print tickets (who has a printer anymore) the bus driver will not look at your phone for proof. So when I called on a Sunday the young woman or girl who answered said I could buy a ticket from the bus driver. She said the address was 12 mechanic street. I called back again as I was unsure the address was correct after researching it and she added again with more attitude than the first time that it was 12 mechanic street. I apologized before asking and after asking and tried my absolute best to be as nice as possible in order to obtain correct information. When I arrived at 12 mechanic street it was a bunch of homes on a dark residential street. I then walked ten minutes at 5:30am to the sands casino, where I found a worker leaving for the day who told me it was a 17 minute walk to the rite aid on a Main Street after the casino. 17 minute walk is very far with a roller bag, and why would a representative give me the wrong information twice. What if I was with my 2 year old daughter, or my wife. IT GETS BETTER. I finally made it to my 6:30am bus 11 minutes early. I approached a parked bus completely drenched in sweat and said "good morning sir is this the bus to 30th st station and can I buy a ticket from you" bus driver said in the absolute rudest tone "this bus goes to New York" and slammed the door in my face. So I went inside to the little shack and bought a ticket. CASH ONLY. Nothing written anywhere on the website, and since I was told to go to the wrong place nearly 20 minutes away twice, I'm guessing the Bieber bus company DOESN'T want your business. GUESS WHAT IT GETS BETTER. I got on the bus and passed out and wound up at 30st station. As the bus driver was opening up the luggage area I simply asked him "can I go right in here to get a train to the airport" he took a deep breath followed by a sigh, looked at me like I was the dumbest person on the earth and said "there are 3 ways to get to airport, by train, by taxi, or you can walk" Does anybody know how to help others. I wasn't sarcastic or unpleasant or condescending to anyone and these people working for this company were all rude with misinformation. The buses are reasonably comfortable and clean, and tend to arrive on time (if not early), in my experience. What I really can't understand, however, is how a ticket to New York City from Wescosville can cost $27.75. This particularly station is sparse, but relatively clean, with a waiting room that (unfortunately) is not heated in the winter. Also, PSA: in an otherwise silent bus, don't be the person who has their phone on speaker. Don't be the person who is yelling into a phone for over an hour (of a total two-hour ride). read more

The only option from the Wescosville area is the reason you will be spending $47.00 on a round trip ticket to nyc. The buses are old. They rattle they shake. No wifi. Not even the air vents work. Seats are ok but no divider arm rest so expect to get cozy with your neighbor. The buses typically run on time but that's the only positive. At a capacity of 50 people and charging 50 bucks a pop Bieber has the funds to make their buses and the experience better. They don't and it's just a money grab. read more

The only reason this line is in service is because so many people who work in NYC live in PA and NJ. There are lots of buses going both to and from the city however they're always breaking down. The drivers are okay, some are old people who seem miserable and others are just regular folks who get it. If you complain about something that is out of the drivers hands- call into their Kutztown office. Although there is one woman in that office who is absolutely rude. The tickets are VERY VERY OVERPRICED, they get away with it because no other bus line covers the towns they take to/from NYC. My daughter needed to get to Temple University on Friday for the weekend. She booked her tickets on-line to reduce potential issues. I drove her (20 minutes each way) to the Kutztown Terminal. Arriving 15 ,minutes early, we were greeted by a sign on the door indicating that her #305. 8:45 am "bus had been cancelled due to operational problems". I had to drive her to Temple. It's Sunday and she is booked to return on the #402 bus at 12:45. There are roughly 50 people waiting at the bus stop, all with tickets, but there are only 13 seats open on the bus. Would also rate zero stars if possible. Consistently terrible service, old busses, over priced, do not give a damn about customers. Drivers are usually fine. Company will send one bus for pick up and if that bus is full, too bad you have to wait 30 mins to an hour or more for the next bus, even if there are 25 other people waiting with you (just happened tonight). I have taken transbridge and the other day they sent another bus as a precaution because the bus might be full judging by the number of passengers. That is true concern and care for the customer. Also transbridge has free wifi and drivers are even friendlier, commuter ticket books are cheaper and more departure options. I've been taking the Bieber Buses to NYC for about 25 years. I think the company has changed ownership in the last few years. What a DISASTER! Buses are breaking down regularly. We just broke down on I-78. Bus just came to a stop. Exhaust smoke spewing out. The bus was in the shop in the morning with problems. The passenger next to me commutes to NYC daily and he said this happens a few times a month! We were rescued by another Bieber bus- phew. Couple things: 1). You are not guaranteed a seat on the bus for the time that you choose. It's a "first-come-first-serve" system, so the bus time is meaningless. I called and asked about this and they said "but the ticket is valid to use for any time during that day"-- meaning, you just have to wait for the next bus if you don't get the time you want. This could mean you will be waiting for hours, and it's very frustrating. 2). You can't change your bus date online or over the phone. So, unlike Amtrak, Bolt Bus, Mega Bus, or virtually another other modern bus/train system you are stuck on that date. HOWEVER, if you buy a new ticket for a different date, you can go through their long process of a "reimbursement minus 10 dollars" and they'll give that to you as "credit." So, it won't go back on your card. 3). You MUST have a printed ticket. No exceptions, whatsoever. read more

They then told us that we had to wait an extra 45 minutes for another bus. Horrific planning on the company's part. They sell tickets for a specific time/Bus. Which means the company knows how many seats they have and tickets they can sell. We arrived for the 6pm Sunday Bus in NY and only half the people with tickets for 6pm Bus were able to take it. They had over sold the 52 passenger bus by at least 40 people. The next bus was scheduled for 8pm but they said there was a Bus on its way and would arrive by 7pm. One bus came at 7:46 and the other at 8pm but they did not board either bus until 8:30. So we waited in line for a total of 3hrs. The line at 8pm was over 120 people. So all of the passengers with 8pm Bus tickets were not able to board a bus. There was poor communication and poor line control. Was told by a passenger who commutes every weekend that this often happens. I have taken this bus service for over 20 years but it is obvious that the company is not what it used to be. We will be taking a different service on our next trip to the city. read more

I have lived in New York City since summer 2012. In the past 6 years, the price of a round trip ticket has increased significantly while the quality of the bus has decreased significantly. It feels like the buses keep getting older, less comfortable, and dirtier. I've taken buses where I could feel metal rods digging through the seats. I swear it feels like they are now using buses from the 1970s. I am currently on a filthy and smelly bus and can feel and hear every bump and creak. Transbridge is 10x better but unfortunately Bieber still offers a more frequent schedule. read more

On July 6, 2016, I had a family guest travelling from Albany on Amtrak to Port Authority to travel on Beiber to arrive in our home in Hellertown. Because of the craziness going on at Penn Station, the Amtrak train was delayed an hour. After arriving at Penn Staition, our guest took the subway to the Port Authority. They should have arrived at 8:50, but didn't arrive into Penn Station until 9:50 pm. In order to make the 10:00 Beiber bus, he had to run to the subway and go as quickly as possible to Port Authority. I was afraid he wouldn't make the bus. I called dispatch at Beiber. I received a very kind, polite dispatch operator. I explained the situation and asked him if he would be able to contact the bus driver at the Port Authority and ask the driver if he could wait 5 minutes for our out-of-town guest to arrive to make the bus and not have to wait alone until midnight. The dispatcher told me he would try his best to do that. Thanks to the dispatcher, the bus driver was patiently waiting for our guest to arrive and was also kind and compassionate. Thank you Beiber for hiring great employees. Because of your employees, I have gained confidence again in mankind and privately owned companies with good customer service. It's hard to articulate how bad this company is. The buses run late. The employees are not kind or respectful. They have a pseudo-monopoly on bus service from NYC to the Lehigh Valley, and they take full advantage of it by not caring about customers at all. The State of Pennsylvania should shut this company down. On the way back they oversold tickets so there were 9 people standing in the isle, one of those people happened to be me! Despite the fact that I bought a ticket a week in advance. The driver was very rude when we told him there were no seats left and he snidely replied "I guess you'll have to stand." Luckily for me there wasn't an accident, had there been I would have been dead. Terrible service. read more

Worse customer service than United Airlines. Sat on a bus for more than an hour after departure time without an explanation. Then it rained and the bus was leaking. On other occasions, have had drivers who did not know how to get into or out of NYC. Don't even deserve 1 star. read more

My wife and I arrived early so we could sit together. Turned out we were the last two on the first bus and couldn't sit together. There was plenty of room on the second bus, but they wouldn't allow us to move to the second bus. Very frustrating and very poor customer service. read more

Don't use them if you absolutely need to be on time! I've been using Bieber for over 6 years to/from NYC. They used to be better. I have been late for, and even missed multiple very important meetings in the city due to the lateness of the buses. Even taking one 2-4 hours earlier than necessary! When I called the owner, he dismissed my concerns and told me I should take an 'earlier' bus. (So a 9:00 am bus for a 4:00pm meeting when it should be a 1 hour 45 minute ride?). The biggest problem is you never know when the bus will be late or full. Like Joe B. said in his review, if the bus is full when it gets to your pick up location, they may or may not send an empty one for the rest of the people. If they do, you may be waiting another hour for it anyway.They claim they have no way of determining passenger count and volumes, but that's just not an acceptable excuse in the year 2014. They also do not check the traffic or alert passengers of potential trouble, which I feel a transportation company should do as a courtesy. They allowed unaware passengers to get on the bus when there was a major accident in the Lincoln Tunnel, and then sat in the gridlocked traffic for 3 hours. They could have easily mentioned it, and many people could have decided whether to take the bus or drive an alternate route, since the bus drivers won't deviate from the 'path'. Other buses were dropping passengers off at the ferry terminal, etc., but not Bieber. If another bus company with better service picks up this route, Bieber is going to have to move into the 21st century or retire. On a good note, most of the drivers are friendly, or close to friendly anyway, and when they do come on time and the bus is not full, the ride is generally uneventful (As long as the bus doesn't break down - happened a handful of times) read more

I have been in line to come home from NYC on a Sunday evening waiting at the gate at 5:30pm for 6:00pm bus departure....5:55pm bus is full...25-30 people still waiting in line...driver tells entire crowd "another BACKUP bus is on the way-might be stuck in traffic but will be here in 20-30 minutes"...7:15pm people still standing waiting while 5:30 from Allentown pulls into terminal unloads and reports no traffic issues....bus does not load till 7:50pm...now line has tripled and 8:00pm bus line must wait 2 hours beyond for the "BACKUP bus that will pick them up in 20-30 minutes." P. S.--Once bus was finally loaded the driver took an additional 7 minutes to put on his coat and run outside for a coffee and a smoke. It is the constant lies and deception that hurts more than the fatigue of standing for three hours in concrete lines that never move knowing you could/should be at home by this time and you just boarded. read more

The bus ride to NYC was difficult. The bus picked us up 45 minutes late. The driver was very jittery. He squirmed in his seat the entire drive. He had this odd foot pedal thing like he was going to music. He would tap the gas 3 times and then the brake once. I had to close my eyes to not watch but it felt worse with my eyes closed. It was hot and I felt so sick from the horrible driving. The return trip was not as bad but we really needed the pull down shades on this bus to block the sun. Awesome convenient stops near my home, and great service to New York, when you can get on the bus. But yesterday I was at the bus stop at the appointed departure time - there were about 10 of us waiting for half hour. Finally someone got through on the phone to dispatch (apparently very rude) who said that the bus was full at the previous stop and simply passed us by without stopping to tell us that we would need to wait another 2 hours until the next bus. The woman in front of me said the last time she took a Bieber Bus it broke down enroute. This bus company is going down hill. I've been taking Bieber buses to NYC for years, and in the old days they would have respected their customers way more than this. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1, because once on the bus, they actually got me to my destination. Yes, the bus gets packed from time to time but I like traveling with Bieber, my daughter left her itouch after all the routes were done, and it was returned to me. I loved their honesty. Nothing negative has happen to me while on their bus. It always leaves on time and we have gotten stuck in traffic making it 30 mins late but that is not the drivers fault. A one star rating would be generous. I have used this bus service weekly to NYC but have now shifted to Trans Bridge Bus service. It requires me to drive an extra 20 minutes per day. The final straw with Bieber Bus service came last week when they "lost AC" on the in-bound trip to NYC and then kept the bus in service subjecting a new batch of passengers to a horrific trip back from NYC. On the return trip the bus driver actually had to resort to opening the roof hatches to generate air flow. It then rained dousing a number of us inside the cabin. Unfortunately I was on both segments. When I attempted to reach-out to Customer Service or management to voice dismay for the lack of quality service they were completely unresponsive. read more

I've been using this bus service for a year and a half, and for much of that time it has seemed so-so. But it seems clear that the drivers are not well supported by any central dispatch staff, and this week I was reminded of how much that can make a difference. Coming out of NYC on the 10pm bus, we took 3 hours to arrive in Hellertown (arrived 1 am) because evidently of some difficulties with ramps to 95 being closed after the Lincoln Tunnel. We spent a full 1.5 hours on a nightmarish ride CIRCLING 3 TIMES through the same areas of Secaucus, NJ/ route 3. We went down side roads, through little neighborhoods, and turned around in places like the parking lot of a warehouse store before grinding to a halt for a time in a lot at the Secaucus train station. For most of this time, our driver was on the phone -- while driving -- apparently receiving directions from someone (whom?) that were evidently no help at all. This is where shoddy business practices become scary and dangerous. Not recommended. read more
