My whole life I have not been a fan of school, so the thought of going to college was something I never thought of. I was stuck thinking the staff was a lot like high school, where it was obvious most of the teachers were only there for the benefits and paycheck. So needless to say I was nervous about starting Big Bend Community College, to the point where I took the entrance exams 3 times before I actually started school. But even amid a pandemic and having to flip their entire process and learn on the fly, the staff and professors ay Big Bend have been more than helpful and have made 2 quarters an absolute breeze. I started Big Bend at a later time in my life. I started with the BEda program to get my high school diploma. They offer GED's as well, but I really wanted my diploma. I transferred over to a 2 year Associates degree and am now in my second year. The staff have been so wonderful in helping me find my way. The admissions/FASFA office is quick and efficient. The teachers are kind and helpful. I have taken very difficult classes and some not so difficult classes. The atmosphere is the same. They welcome you and help you succeed. If you follow the guidelines/expectations of the classes you will have no problems, as long as you put in the effort too. The campus is amazing, always clean and well kept. read more

I am happy I transferred to Big Bend because I was currently lost in the other college and here i get all the help and support I need. I am proud to be here because the professors here actually care about you and your future. I do regret not starting here to begin with. I am currently doing everything virtual but I have a feeling once we go back to campus, everything will be even better then how it is now. BBCC is an amazing college if you don't want to go to a university right away; you could get your 2 years here then transfer to get your bachelors and guarantee you will save so much money. BBCC is an amazing school, I have been to many community colleges on the West side of the mountain and this community college by far beats all of them. Before COVID-19 I truly felt like I was NOT an "online learner" but BBCC has really made the transition easy and user friendly. The staff all the way around has been so kind and so helpful. The teachers truly care about their student and really listen to their concerns. Every time I have had a question the response time from the teachers and staff has been within minutes. I really cannot say enough good things about this college, I am just truly impressed. read more

Big Bend Community College is a great option for students wanting to start early on their degree. The staff there are extremely helpful and understanding. I have been struggling a bit with balancing work and classes at the college plus high school, but so far all my teachers understand and in a way make sure I stay caught up. BBCC has done a great job at dealing with covid-19. They have hybrid classes allowing students the option of both online and irl courses. While this helps during covid, it also helps with students who work on the side. Seeing as they have less worry about work and class colliding! read more

In my experience so far, you can get everything you should expect from a community college at big bend. I have had great experience with the staff in many departments. Great luck with teachers. I get along with all of them well, and it's conveniently located in Moses Lake. Advisors have always helped me efficiently pick classes, relieving stress. Financial advisors have always helped me get the most money efficiently, and understand what moves I was making. I don't see what else could be wanted from a community college. Unless you're simply looking for a course that they aren't offering. read more

In the past, I dreaded taking an online class because I felt that the class was not personable. If I were stuck on a problem or needed help I would have to email my teacher and they would get back to me days later. However after the corona virus hit, the online classes has improved tremendously. Not only are the teachers adding videos on how to complete some of the homework assignments but they are also replying promptly. I have also enjoyed having zoom meetings in some of my classes, I am able to ask any class related assignments and get instant feedback. Mr. G your the best teacher. read more

I will be completing my second year at Big Bend this June and since attending this school I have gained a lot of knowledge that will help me grow and achieve in my professional career. All the teachers I have encountered with, have been helpful in advice or pointing me to the right direction to get extra help if needed be. Besides education the school does offer help if needed with food if needed during difficult times. COVID has made it hard to communicate in person but all my teachers and advisor have encouraged to reach out to them with any questions or concerns. read more

Being an older student, I was anxious about returning to school and starting college for the first time. I have found all staff to be very helpful and supportive. Anytime I have reached out, they have been quick to respond and help with anything I need. I even received help as a new student that I didn't know I needed. I am doing all my schooling online and have been walked through the process every step of the way. My instructors have been patient and understanding and flexible, all very important things for me. read more

Big Bend Community College is a great choice all the way around. If you're looking for a 2 or 4 year that doesn't matter. They will most of the time have something to help you pursue your dream. From them giving you the chance to do two years with them and then help you transfer to a University to finish off.. They also have many departments for students that can be very useful. Aside from it being online, that for me is actually better. That online options allows me to work and go to school at once. :) read more

As a first year student at Big Bend (and a junior in high school) I find the college's classes and environment quite enjoyable. My teachers never fail to answer in a timely matter whenever I have questions or concerns. They always assign assignments with a reasonable due date. Everyone I have met on campus is so kind and respectful towards each other. As a high school student, the classes I have are not too challenging and assignments are not drastically long. I attended Big Bend in 2017 for two quarters and recently began attending again this year. both times I have had nothing but a good experience with this school. when I first started attending the staff and advisers were very helpful and resourceful whenever I had question. The teachers have also always been very helpful and genuinely seem to care about the students. overall it seems that Big Bend tries very hard to create a good environment for their students and it shows! read more

I'm currently in my first year here at Big Bend. All in all this is an ok college, there's the occasional problem of trying to get in contact with some staff. However in general everything else is ok, I don't want to go out and say this place is great considering I'm not getting the full experience, mostly because of the current situation in the world, that being COVID. I'm a currently student at BBCC (doing running start), and it's a great place to study, they are flexible with the students, either you are a single dad/mom, or a student with a full time job. Also, the teachers are very helpful, and you get the help if you ask for it or they sometimes just check up on you. Sometimes they may take some time to respond, but it depends on each teacher, and also the way you have to contact them. read more

I absolutely love Big Bend and the staff! They are very helpful and make learning and doing class online (due to Covid-19) very enjoyable and doable for me. The staff have done an amazing job of helping everyone with problems and helping solve them and or create something that will help them. I've never been to college before, so I may not be able to make any meaningful comparisons. But with my experience so far, the staff have been kind and understanding. Some of the procedures can be a pain, though, such as applying for college and checking out books. Technology tends to be prone to malfunction. Other than that, I find BBCC to be a decent college to attend. read more

I absolutely love the environment here! As a Junior in high school, I have to say that my experience here at BBCC has been so much better than high school. I find classes so much easier, and you have plenty of time to do work by the time it is due. Overall, the instructors are super nice, and are pretty open to people asking for help. read more

Great college, as a running start high school student I can say by far Big Bend is easier and much more effective than anything I have ever experienced. I also know many older people in my classes who love Big Bend and all the programs. Intructors are also the absolute best. read more
