There are only 8 sites and each site has electrical hooks up for both 50 amps and 30 amps. Ronda brought us water one evening and has a honey wagon as needed. A wonderful place to stay if you want to visit Big Bend National Park, Big Bend Ranch State Park, Terlingua, and see the darkest skies in the country. We'll have to return with the appropriate cameras and telescopes next time. It may be a little intimidating to get there, as it's 13 miles on a country road off US 118 and another 1.5 miles on narrow dirt road, but you will be rewarded for your perseverance. Tin Valley is a slice of paradise for those who seek it.

The alternator went out and we are just able to make it to a convenience store at the Study Butte-Terlingua area. It was already after hours for Antonio; but, he graciously helped us out. He and his son went far and above the call of duty in helping us. The work was done in a good time and we were well satisfied with the work and personal service. They even went so far as to give us a ride back to our AirBNB Marfa that night and picked us up when the work was done! Well, not really. 34.11 MPG on the trip out west lol. I've visited twice to see the cars and pick up some Terlingua Racing apparel. Long story short in the 60's Carol Shelby of Cobra and Mustang fame and his buddies basically bought the town and formed the local government. Seems the brand rights are owned by a Cali company...boo It's rumored that Shelby himself was even appointed animal control officer! Many cars at the Stable represent this era with current and vintage model Stangs. Other cars too; some for sale and others just to appreciate. Staff has always been friendly and appreciative of our visits.

He told us what to do in case of problems on the way home, and also gave us a very detailed breakdown of what to tell my local mechanic in order to fix the problem. Can't appreciate him enough
