We stayed at Mountain Celebration in Gatlinburg, TN and this house, though beautiful in the pictures is not the current state its in. There are damages everywhere that have not been fixed because the property is so booked. When I called to inform them about the issues they said they would send me a number to text the photos too. That never happened. When we home from our trip, I emailed Matt one of the GMs of this company and all he did was refer me over to guest services. Seriously! A manager didn't even take my request seriously. I feel for the people who stayed there after we did because there was a huge leak in the ceiling on the lower level that I'm sure didn't get fixed before they got there. The property grounds have not been maintained, it was not cleaned well before we got there. There were ants all over the dining table and the floors. The floors themselves were dirty, scuffs, holes and damages everywhere on the walls, the bathroom sliding door to the main master toilet was broken along with the leak issues. I got a crappy apology from the company and their "fix" for my dissatisfaction was 25% off my next booking. Are you kidding me?! I'm never booking with this company again after the poor response and crap customer service we had. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to which they denied being contacted. There's no place on their website to leave a review so please be careful before booking anything through them. They won't put any bad reviews where anyone can see them! Beware vacationers!

But yesterday shows that they really care about their customers. We went in a few days ago and placed a balloon order for our 2 year old sons birthday party. When we went to pick up the balloons yesterday, one of the Mylar balloons had a small leak and was the very last one that they had. They were so nice enough to let us pick out another balloon at no charge. They may not have the selection as the big party retailer but they definitely have their customers first!

I have found over the years that the hotels close to the river are always way overpriced at certain times of the year so if you are willing to stay a little off the beaten path then give this hotel a shot. The hotel is located right off the highway and no more than ten to fifteen minutes from most of the major attractions in Owensboro. This hotel has all the amenities you need for a one or multiple-night stay. The staff are professional and this hotel is very well run by management and staff. My room was clean, and spacious and had everything I needed for two nights. The hotel has an excellent fitness center, indoor lounge areas, outdoor lounge areas and a very busy pool, Breakfast includes a variety of hot and cold choices, pastries, bread and cereals, fresh fruit and above-average coffee. The rooms have full fridges and useable kitchenettes, and depending on the size of the room you may have a bigger kitchen area. The room has many electrical outlets and USB charging stations for all of your devices. If you have USB-C then bring your charging blocks. The AC and heating units in your room work very well and are not that noisy. Wifi is easy to connect to and if you are a Bonvoy member you get the upgraded wifi at no additional charge, Lastly, this hotel has digital keys so you can skip the line up when you check in and they automatically send you your bill when you check out. I made a reservation with them, and upon arriving was told that I did not have a reservation. I…read moreshowed them a copy of the email I had from "bookonline.com" and they informed me that I should call the reservation company and cancell the reservation. I did, and received a response that someone would get back to me within 24 hours. I waited in the lobby for over two hours, and ended up going somewhere else. The issue I have with the property, is that when the insurance company that I paid to assure I would get a refund for something exactly like this called the front desk, they said I was a "NO SHOW" which is absolutely false!!! No integrity whatsoever. Upon looking at the property, it was probably best I didn't stay there. Plenty of sketchy things going on in the parking lot, homeless people hanging around wanting handouts, and overall felt kind of sketchy. I would have given zero stars, or negative stars if this was an option.
