We stopped in to pick up some "essentials" for our five-day stay in the area. Both of the employees…read morewe encountered were quite friendly and solicitous. Mark in particular was definitely well suited to his job and was very engaged. He asked us what we were seeking and pointed us to the part of the fairly big store we needed. We found that what sought was not on da shelf: just an empty space. One of the other employees happened by and asked if he could help. When I pointed out the preceding, he told me he'd go in the back to check for us. Lo and behold he found what we were actually seeking. He asked us how many bottles of the three he found. We asked for two and brought 'em straight to the counter for us, which is where Mark was waiting for us. We found everything else we were looking for in the meanwhile. Yes, Virginia: it IS another link in a liquor store chain. As a chain, it has much better pricing and variety than a lot of other liquor stores, of which there are legion in Daytona Beach and its environs. At the same time, this store appears to have friendly, caring folks working there (a premium these days). We were quite pleased, and it's a short walk to our little suite up da street! Sweet!!!

Bar has been here since 1951 and it's perfect for those that just want to chill. Danny is awesome bartender and I love that he didn't take any shit from my boy's girl when she slammed her drink on the bar. Run by a good guy, had all the right stuff including juice and cokes and is priced competitively. Had some good caribbean rum, good selection of vodka and plenty of beer. He then stated you are the last customer in 30 minutes, then my friend offered to pay the gentleman 100 dollars. All we wanted was a bottle of Jack Daniels Honey Tennessee Whiskey. It would've taken us 5 minutes. I feel like if a business states it will be open until a certain hour it should.
