Our server was very nice and helpful with the menu. The food took a really long time to come out for there hardly being any people in there. Food was good but again, nothing crazy. I'll start with this: The staff and owners were very nice people…read more That said, this place is trying to be something it is not. Trying to appear to be a classy high end place and tells you about its "world class" chef, but it is anything but that and the chef... very disappointing. 7 of us went, expecting a high end experience and it turned out horrible. None of us would ever go back. 1 steak ordered med well was about as rare as it could get. Sent back, returned still very pink. She did not eat. No refund given. No apology. world class chef? ha! another steak ordered med rare came out well done. Chef mix up ? probably. The crab cakes seriously had to be from a can. Tasted sub par and very fishy. Drinks were good but the real issue is coming, the bill... the old waiter, who spent more time outside smoking than attending us, screwed up our bill SOOOO bad, everyone's order was mixed up and inter-mixed on the 3 bills. The waiter had no idea who ordered what. Came back with 3 new bills, still completely hosed, drinks all over the place, meals still not correct. We had to get pens and write down what each bill should have on it. It was absolute chaos. No discounts given, no remorse. They joked and laughed it off. High end dining at its finest? Not even close

We were wondering if we'd made a mistake as we started out as the only people in the restaurant, but the waiter said they get ups and downs with outside bar (First Turn) out back. And sure enough, more people ended up showing up shortly after. Was not expecting the food to be as good as it was. Started with a bacon wrapped scallop old fashioned that was fantastic. My fiancé and I both had the French Onion Soup (with 3 types of onions). We have this at almost every restaurant we see it, and this is probably our favorite in the Daytona area. She had blackened salmon with asparagus and I had 12 oz NY Strip with baked potato. It was cooked a perfect medium and was delicious. She couldn't get over how good hers was either. Even the rolls were great. We had our 3 month old with us who was sitting so quietly that almost no one noticed her there. When the owners saw her, they came by to say hi and talked with us for a bit and to see how we were enjoying our meal. They were very personable, and it was nice talking with them. We will definitely be back.
