Paid $40 a plate for my daughter's wedding reception and they didn't bring tea, water, or lemonade. My family had to leave reception to go get drinks for our guests. They offered no solution and continued passing appetizers and food before we had drinks for our guest. My family had to go get drinks quickly and missed moments of the reception while 3 servers stood in the back. Needless to say our photos now reflect can drinks and water bottles on our elegant tables. The owners take no responsibility for what happened. They advertise as professionals but don't let that fool you. The food was just ok and not worth 4,000 for 67 people that doesn't include tea, water, lemonade as advertised. I was told that was only for corporate events. Wow! Please do not allow them to ruin your day! I was charged 1,050 in production fees. I never used their plasticware, and was given 3 servers that hid in the back most of the time. Of course they helped themselves to the drinks we had to run get. It was the most unprofessional crew I have ever encountered. As well as the most unprofessional owner. She never once called me and she knew I was upset. Big Girl's catered our wedding on 9/14/2019 and their team went above and beyond to ensure the food was exceptional. All team members were highly professional and helpful. Our wedding was pretty late at night (reception began at 8:15pm) and their fantastic staff helped me put together an appetizer buffet that our guest loved! The Mac and cheese is unbelievably good, colossal meatballs and mini chicken and waffles also stood out. The staff even handled things perfectly when my husband and I decided to skip an hour of photography and just get the meal started an hour early.. they were ready to go in under 10 minutes. We also paid the team to help set up table decor and it looked phenomenal. Would definitely recommend this great team for any event! My wife and I have them cater our New Year's Eve party in Woodstock. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Communication was pretty good and we will definitely using them in the future. There was also a change in the amount of people that were coming and they were very accommodating including giving us a refund for the people that were not showing up. Let's be real. Your whole wedding is lame if the food isn't great, and Big Girl's Catering made my wedding (and rehearsal dinner) AWESOME. Now a year later, our guests are still talking about how good the food was. Cindy and Ami were the best to work with. They were more flexible about the menu and services and customization than I believe most caterers would be... They're also just incredibly sweet. The cakes, honest to God, were the very best I've ever eaten in my life... Like ever. Other details, though: They were professional and kind through every part of the process. I would never in a million years use another catering company. Aside from their noteworthy delicious food (yes all of it is delicious) they are the kindest most caring people. They catered my wedding in October and people still talk about it. If youre getting married, remember this: people only remember what you entertain them with. What can I say about this catering company... They went above and beyond anything I've ever seen to make sure my friends wedding was a success. With an unexpected rain storm the catering personnel went into fast mode and moved tables from outdoors to indoors ensuring that all the guests got a dry seat. They made room in the covered area and really were amazing. Not to mention the food was top notch! I've been to a lot of weddings and usually I'm not impressed with the food. But this company's food was amazing. The food tasted fresh and was really delicious! They made sure the bride and groom got a plate since the schedule went off a bit due to the rain. Big Girls Catering was absolutely incredible! My husband and I were initially attracted by the totally reasonable prices (in the wedding market, that's a rarity...), but by the end of the experience, were honestly were impressed across the board. Ami and Cindy were unbelievably helpful in the planning process, presenting me with so many different menu options and pricing points, and making every adjustment with total grace and ease. I emailed them incessantly (sorry, ladies!) and they always responded immediately. They once emailed me back two days after my email, and APOLOGIZED- turns out they were in the hospital with a friend. Like... what? They're amazing. We were planning our wedding from out of town- living in Houston, wedding in Atlanta. I was so nervous about the long-distance planning process, but Big Girls made it incredibly easy. The food was super crazy delicious, and our guests all raved about it. I have nothing but great things to say about Big Girl's Catering! I got married in September, 2011. We choose a unique theme for our wedding (a Carnival) and it was vital that the caterer help us maintain the theme with continuity (but also tasty vittles, since food is MAJOR for us). We talked with several caterers but from my first interaction with Ami & Cindy we knew that they "got" us and our vision. They were enthusiastic, creative and passionate about food. The tasting was amazing and, with every encounter, I knew that they were listening to us and striving to make the menu exactly what we wanted it to be. While I had a vague idea about the direction I wanted to go, they took it to he next level. They even honored our request to make sure that we had some gluten free options, since 2 of our close friends (who were involved in the wedding) can not have gluten. My family was concerned about how of theme would translate to wedding food but EVERYONE loved it and raved about it. In fact, we still have people telling us that the Sweet Georgia Brown chicken was the best chicken they have ever had! I'm wondering if they will make us a batch for our anniversary ;) I know that the Big Girls do a wide variety of menus- traditional, buffet style, Southern, etc but they are also completely willing to think outside the box and that was exactly what we needed. The price was very reasonable, the service that the staff delivered was exceptional and they helped to make our event super fun! Despite the fact that our guests devoured the food, Ami & Cindy made sure they set a box of food aside for me to take back to the hotel, and I needed it! My mom was bummed out the there were only 4 sliders left for the next day, she wanted to have a full Big Girl's meal the morning after. The Big Girls handled our rehearsal dinner "I Do Barbecue" and we enjoyed every minute of working with them... and every bite of their delicious, beautiful food. These two ladies are extremely professional, responsive, and impressive. From the initial tasting we knew we had found our gals! The food was insanely good (I dream about their shrimp and grits) and a great value. They were truly full-service and a one-stop-shop for the event. Big girls catering was the Big epic FAIL at my wedding!!!! They made me and my family look ridiculous when guest stood around for the appetizer hour and there were NO appetizers!!! They forgot all about them! Then they didn't refund us the full amount we paid for the appetizers and refused to refund us the money we paid for two additional servers to pass out the appetizers!!!! It was so kind of them to lie to my face saying they would refund us for their mistakes! Then the menu wasn't what we ordered. We paid for smoked quarter chickens and they gave us grilled chicken tenders. Then they were too dry to even eat!!! Then we had many not stay for dinner and they still ran out of food!!!! Where do I begin? Big Girls was so amazing from the moment we contacted them. The food is first rate, the serving staff at my daughters wedding were top notch, the way Cindi and Ami catered to the bride and grooms needs ( including gluten free options and nut allergies!) was never an issue for them. Making sure we the parents had food and preparing the plates for the bride and groom to eat first thing. What a great touch! You rarely see the couple able to enjoy their food at a wedding but ours did because Big Girls made sure of it! Less than 24 hours before the event it was apparent we had more guests than had RSVPed so at 4 am I sent an email to Big Girls. A response came within hours and it was no problem for Cindi and Ami! They suggested they buy more food that afternoon ...I was afraid to ask but they could see my concern and offered. Wow. When I told them during the planning stages I may get ice cream they suggested an ice cream bar! Our guests flipped over that one. You won't be sorry with Big Girls.
