Showed up to remove a tree in my neighbors yard about 10ft from my driveway where my wife's Jaguar suv and my brand new Ram TRX ( 5 days old - $93,000.00) was sitting. Didn't even knock on my door to ask me to move them. I heard loud noises going on outside so I quickly ran out to see what was going on and saw branches falling on the tops of my vehicles.... Unreal. The guy just said, well they didn't get scratched did they!? What a clown!!! Then their trucks which they parked in front of my driveway blocking vehicles leaked oil all over the road in front of my house. I needed several large trees removed but the task was extremely difficult as I am landlocked on a hill with access only through a neighbors yard. I had spoken to several tree service companies including BIG GUYS. Despite some older negative reviews I decided to go with William and his crew from Big Guys.....I'm very glad that I did. William and his small son showed up to give me an estimate on Thursday and was there with his crew the next morning as promised. With my neighbors permission they worked all day and did an amazing job. After I paid him I did a "walk-around" and discovered a few things that needed to be corrected. I called William and he immediately sent Josh out to take care of business. Josh was very pleasant and did a fine job. All is good. Hired these yahoos for a tree removal and 2 stump removals on a Wednesday. They said they would have it done before Saturday. Saturday came and no show and no call. Called them and they said their stump grinder was down and should have it fixed by Monday. called on Wednesday and they said they would be out tomorrow. Tomorrow came and went and NO SHOW, NO CALL. I called again a couple days later and they said the rain got them behind and they would be out tomorrow. Again next day NO CALL NO SHOW. It's been a couple weeks now and I never heard from them again. I was putting a shed where the tree removal was so the guy that was going to build my shed was very inconvenienced as well. Do not use this company. My neighbors yard is a total absolute mess from them and they even broke a drain pipe with their giant heavy equipment. The trees cut down look like half jagged jungle. It looks horrible and was a ton of cash! I feel bad for them. The company is not assisting with fixing their yard. New sod will easily cost a $600-1,000. The lawn is ruined! read more

Big Guy Tree Service out of White Lake cut down a large tree in my yard. While removing the wood, their heavy equipment cracked my sidewalk. I have sent an e-mail with photos and left numerous messages without any call back. I would not recommend them for any tree service. Jim B. read more

We had a tree fall on our garage on a Saturday night, making it impossible for us to get our cars out of the garage. We called Big Guys early on a Sunday morning, after calling several other tree services that claimed to be available for emergencies but we only got their voicemail. Big Guys answered right away and a short time later were at our house getting this massive tree out of our driveway and off our garage. They said they would just move it out of our way, and would be back the next day to clean it up. By the time we got home from work the next day, they had already come and gone and did an EXCELLENT job of cleaning it up. There was not a single stick left behind, even got the sticks off our roof. We felt the price they charged us was more than fair and they did a great job. They were very friendly and professional also. Will definitely have them be our tree service now. Neighbor employed them for tree removal on the other side of their 40 foot lot in Berkley Michigan. They came upon my property on the opposite side and first removed two branches at the property line or close enough. Presuming they were done as they were now working on the tree they came out to remove, I went into my house. When they were done and I came back out I found they had entered upon my property, removed 1/4 of the tree that was 35 feet tall 25 feet wide in canopy, a norway maple that is slow growing. They cut 2.5 feet inside of my fence line and had to have cut the main trunk branches standing in my yard. The privacy fence is wholly contained inside the property line. These actions will result in the future demise of a tree of estimated value having been growing 21 years, of $30,000. Will be seeking court resolve as the damages are treble. Make certain if you hire these guys they have proof of insurance that is current, lest you the homeowner become the insurer of their malicious destruction of property actions. They attempted to justify their actions when they told the local police who were called that they did me a favor as my electric line ran through the tree even though it was my own personal line from the pole to the house, and they were not hired nor asked to perform such services. read more
