These guys were amazing! This was a difficult tree to get to in a back yard with electrical wires, vinyl fence, septic field and a waterfall pond under the tree. They cut and lifted this 80 ft tree over the house with a crane - never damaging a thing. They did a great job of cleaning up both front and back yards. The guys were very courteous and polite. From the time we received the quote to doing the job, Chris was great at returning calls and being on time. I would highly recommend Chris and his guys for anyone needing tree service. Kris was fantastic to deal with! For the first time when dealing with a wood supplier, the volume of wood I paid for was what arrived. No fussing, I just called, he delivered my face cord, and I put the check in the mail. His wood splits are of varying sizes so you'll likely not need to split much of it yourself, if any. He dropped it where I asked for easy stacking and the volume was spot on. Bear in mind that he has busy seasons so if he doesn't get back to you it's not a slight or a blow-off. We hired Lakes Forestry to cut down and haul away a 40-foot mulberry tree that fell in our backyard during a storm. Kris, the owner of the company, was prompt in visiting our property and submitting quote. His quote bested the others we recieved. Kris scheduled the work and called to reconfirm when he and his crew would arrive. Kris was a pleasure to work with and very responsive. When the crew was working in our backyard, we realized we had additional tree work that needed to be done. Kris gave us an on-the-spot quote and did it that day in addition to the work he already was scheduled to do. The crew was professional, friendly and efficient. I thought I had a tree dying in the back yard, and asked him to take a peek when he was in the area. He swung by (maybe the next day?) and left an estimate in my mailbox. But he CALLED me to let me know! How nice is that?!?! And he said the tree wasn't dead, it just needed to be trimmed. He came back by to give me an estimate to trim all the trees. Need a large, dying tree removed from a dense neighborhood. Not an easy job, imo. Also needed some bushes and one small tree removed. Fair, quick, and thorough quote in writing. Proof of insurance provided without asking. Very friendly. Showed up when he said they would. Work performed exactly as promised. Good advice about other possible projects. Everything cleaned up nicely at the end. Couldn't be happier. Would for sure use again. Update 30-Jul-18: Was contacted by owner Kris concerning my less than ideal interaction with Lakes Forestry. Kris was very concerned about having a less than satisfied customer due to a communication issue. He reacted immediately.. got us rescheduled and taken care of. The work was done quickly and efficiently. Clean up was done very well. Anyone can have a communication breakdown... but I give 5 stars here because the responsiveness of Lakes Forestry to complaints was 2nd to none. Original Review: Wife called this company to get quote. Reasonable quote so I called and set an appointment for 2 weeks later because they are so busy. Take a vacation day to wait at the house for a no show and no call. Called, texted, V and E-mail all day with no call backs. Finally after 2 days got a call back to voicemail that the miss was my fault because my wife and I called and owner must have called the wifes number and left a message that Lakes would not be here. Checked both my and the wife caller ID history and voicemail and NOTHING was there from Lakes. Very disappointed in this service. Will look elsewhere for this read more

Left large roots in my 86 year old grandmothers yard after removing a large pine and stump. Written quote said "haul away ALL debris/wood". When I called Kris to ask him to finish the job (which was paid for) he told me it would cost an extra $100 to clean-up. He was disrespectful on the phone and showed no interest in making sure we were happy with the job. Second time I have used Chris for tree trimming. Second time sent payment in full. When I came home I noticed the main tree that needed help had not been touched. Many red flags with this tree service!!! DO NOT HIRE!!! I was dealing with Chris. He did not show up to do the quote when it was agreed. When he finally came to do the quote he was late. Since I had planned to be home during the quote, I took time off from work unnecessarily since he was a no show. He cancelled out 2 times when I scheduled the tree trimming and no show. His excuse was that his equipment broke down and his phone was stolen so he couldn't call. When he finally came to do the trimming in Aug. 30th, he did not do the job as we had discussed. He trimmed only the lower branches and not the top of the trees or shaped the trees. They did an awful job trimming the cranberry trees & lilac trees by the side of the driveway. Too much was trimmed off. They damaged the roof line of the house when they cut down the pine tree. When I pointed out the damaged roof, his comment was, "Are you accusing me that we did that"? Chris was not apologetic and did not acknowledge the damaged roof. Instead he blamed it on the wind & the branch too close by the roof. I was furious and wanted them to leave. Having hired this tree service company caused us to have additional expenses especially with having to fix the roof after the damaged. I will never use this company again.!!! Their quote may be reasonable but the work done is not good or at standard. This company does not take responsibilities for any damages that may occur due to their reckless actions.
