A large grove of aspens, divided by the trail, greet you on the hike and the wind whispering thru the leaves is a bit of heaven. I now look at the 4' x 18" painting I purchased last week and am taken back to the cabin and the smell of the campfire while listening to the aspens sing their song for me. Stop in if you're in the area and you probably won't leave empty handed.

He has cards, prints, and canvas prints of his art plus he also has scarves, tote bags, and even mugs that come from his paintings. This is also a studio where you can catch Brian painting. Betsy has 3-D art as well as miniatures that reflect a feminine viewpoint in my opinion. It's very cool stuff. I've ordered several things from Timmer Gallery and it's definitely worth a visit.

This is a beautiful and far-ranging museum. We stopped in for a few hours on our tour of the…read moreregion. The museum is set up like a wagon wheel with five spokes each dedicated to a particular subject. Cody, I.e., Buffalo Bill, Firearms through history, Plains Art, Plains Indians and Plains Animals. We spent time in the first three. Each was worth a look and we could have stayed longer in the Art section. We have been to Cody's gravesite in Golden, CO, so it was great to get a comprehensive view of his life and impact on the Nation. The firearms section was amazingly in depth and we should have got a private guide. We enjoyed the Art section but ran out of time. I particularly liked the Remington sculptures. No thanks, I'm just browsing. She then said "oh you have a ponytail!" Then she PULLED MY HAIR. In shock, I asked her not to do that and she responded "I just had to." Of course, I said it was uncool to touch anyone without their permission. As a Native American, pulling on my braid is grossly offensive. But considering they are exploiting Native culture through the foreign made "Native" items, her pulling my hair isn't a real surprise. Apparently, they feel Native culture and people can be exploited.
