The museum is set up like a wagon wheel with five spokes each dedicated to a particular subject. Cody, I.e., Buffalo Bill, Firearms through history, Plains Art, Plains Indians and Plains Animals. We spent time in the first three. Each was worth a look and we could have stayed longer in the Art section. We have been to Cody's gravesite in Golden, CO, so it was great to get a comprehensive view of his life and impact on the Nation. The firearms section was amazingly in depth and we should have got a private guide. We enjoyed the Art section but ran out of time. I particularly liked the Remington sculptures. The main floor has neat antiques, old guns, clothing and items from yesteryear while the lower level is more about the mining history. We needed a break from driving,…read moreso we decided to go into this small museum after seeing a huge statue of a wooly mammoth outside of the very new building. The fee was reasonable, and the museum took us about 20 minutes total. The building and exhibits were top notch, and brand new. While the exhibits were not very big, they were educational and gave you information about the big horn basin area. They have an area dedicated to paleontology and one to archeology. I enjoyed getting to do something educational while needing a break, instead of just shopping or doing something mindless. If you are passing through this area, I'd take the time to stop and support this local museum.

I decided to take a walk around Cody on of our laundry days/days off during my field geology course…read moreand found the Foundation For North American Wild Sheep building. The foundation website had information about the organization's efforts for the conservation of North America wild sheep and a roster of upcoming events. Signage was clearly visible from the road and I decided to take a look around to see if they were open or had any more information. There were a few benches to sit and rest and take in the beauty of the grounds and people walking by. Grounds are decorated with statues of North America wild sheep. There were also hours of operations and other operational information clearly posted at the entrance. The facility ended up not being open the day I went, but I still appreciated getting to walk around the grounds and check out the website. Gives a very basic feel for the organization, what actions are taken through/by the organization to help restore North American wild sheep populations, and how types of wild sheep are honored by the organization. A place to revisit on a day they are open!

There was a ton of inventory & thank heavens the furniture was right up front, as the warehouse is huge There were some gently used couches, loveseats & recliners, plus one gorgeous coffee table. There was also a small pink table in the same area & much larger ones up the stairs into another area. None of which were what I was looking for. The warehouse was not very organized, so you could spend some time in there if you were seriously searching for something you wanted. Staff was no where to be found, except for the girl at the front desk. I did see some good bargains, but nothing I needed. **Would recommend as a place to go for bargain shoppers!!

In the past few months, they have changed management or managers. The place is dirty. Along with…read morethe non-furniture items i.e. tools, they looked as though they had all been stored in an attic for years. Nothing but crappy furniture that smells when you walk in the door. Looks like it all could go to the dump. These should be cleaned before coming out to be sold to the public. The prices are extremely high for these. Understandable that they want to build homes for people, but this won't get them the money they need. Prices need to be lowered to an amount that is comparable to the item. Lower prices, more sales, more money, more homes. Manager was gruff and loud. Not pleasant to customers. No greetings at any time. We won't be visiting this store anytime soon. We will go to the Cody store, although small, the atmosphere was friendly and courteous with well displayed and inexpensive items.
