Like a pound of Meijer lunchmeat is $9 but a pound of Aldi lunchmeat is $5.60. I have to say I've found the staff here consistently much friendlier than the Valparaiso store, especially with glitches I've run into with grocery pick up which have occurred at both. I definitely have to give it to Meijer on product selection. Sometimes you just can't find everything at Aldi.

We came back to get our order, waited a half hour before finally asking an employee if our pick up order was ready yet. They brought it out but with no gift card, which the employee had no idea what gift card I was talking about. She went inside to ask about it, returned several minutes later and told me the team lead said he planned on bringing it out, but it would be a little bit because they're so busy. We waited another 20 minutes before just leaving because we were absolutely done waiting on this extremely unprofessional "team lead" who clearly doesn't care about upset customers.

Employees start at $12.00 an hour and move up quickly. All employees are cross-trained and take turns stocking shelves, managing cash registers, etc. Check out is the fastest of any grocery store so don't worry if lines are long. Any grocery store that takes good care of its employees, will take great care of its customers. Prices are very competitive and produce is always fresh. In addition to family shopping, we also visit Aldi's when buying groceries for our local Food Pantry (about $1,000 a month).
