I've been twice in the past few days. I picked up a six pack of mini Pepsi's, Easter candy and eggs for my parent's church, bag of chips, York Peppermint Patties and napkins. You can find just about anything in the store even groceries such as eggs, milk and bread. I also did some Christmas shopping, mainly gift bags and wrapping paper, last December. What I like most is the lower prices compared to other stores. But I also like the smaller size store so you don't have to do a ton of walking to find all of your items.

They also offer a bunches services at this location including trailer rentals, PetVet clinics, propane refills and exchanges, and a Pet Wash Center. At Christmastime they sell fully decorated trees as well as wreaths and other original Christmas decorations. I stopped by two days before Christmas and the trees were all 50% off. There were several local vendors merchandise such as jewelry, kettle corn, Christmas decorations, purses, wallets, and soap just to name a few. They sold Greenup County High School and University of Kentucky attire and novelty items. As well as a few outdoor branded t-shirts and sweatshirts. And if you are in the market for furniture you will not be disappointed by the lovely Brazilian wood selections! The store itself is gorgeously designed a well. And don't forget to check out the Brazilian coffee. I purchased a bag of kettle corn and a small cork wallet. I learned that the cork used to make the wallet came off a tree. Who knew? First, I had to wait on her for a solid 10 minutes in an empty store during a heat wave. I had a lot on my mind. When she finally appeared to assist the sick cashier with a menial task, I misspoke. She was already clearly rubbed the wrong way, and that just shifted her into a different level of rude. She began ignoring my transaction-related questions, rolling her eyes and sighing, put my change on the counter, and spoke down to me. Regardless of whether or not I'm inconveniencing her, even for a second longer, should ~not~ have been evident in this "leader's" behavior. I will do all I can to avoid this conveniently located Family Dollar due to this manager's behavior. I will be be spreading the word. I want her leadership to know.
