When you enter it looks like a weird antique store or flea market but if you wander into the back room you're rewarded with a pretty large selection of several thousand records. The selection is heavily weighted toward classic rock, but there are also substantial selections of jazz, soul/R&B, gospel, country and hip-hop. I noticed also some eight tracks and CDs in the back, as well as some stereo gear that was presumably for sale. There's not much of a new selection, but there was plenty to keep my occupied. The place was pretty chilly though I was fine in my jacket, assume it would be quite expensive to keep it heated! The front room was a smorgasbord of typical antique store fare with trinkets, furniture, books etc. Definitely worth a stop when you're in town.

For the vinyl they have a small selection of new on the left and a much larger used selection going back from there and wrapping over to the right side of the store. None of the records are grouped by genre, just by new or used. In the center section is Record Store Day releases, along with boxes of unmarked used vinyl (these boxes are unalphabetized I believe). And then along the floor on the walls are even more records. I'm guessing these are the $1 variety. The strangest thing about their used selection is the sheer number of the same release they will stock. For instance they may have 20 or more copies of a popular Pat Benetar record. And the 20 copies might range in price from $3.98 to $9.98. There might even be an original still sealed copy in the mix but it's $7.98. It gives me the impression that the records are haphazardly and arbitrarily priced. Most of the used records skew expensive but with the arbitrary pricing it's certainly possible to find a good deal or two. I certainly did. And I also successfully haggled with the worker for two I wanted but were overpriced. All in all this place is worth a stop if you're hopelessly addicted to vinyl like me and find yourself in town.

She not only has nice items, but very affordable items, too. That is a rare combination to find nowadays. The owner is also very nice. I didn't need help with anything, but I watched her interact with other customers. There were a group of children there and she was very patient and generous with them. She helped them pick out the right tarot cards and stones. I don't see a lot of people who help out younger patrons (because they're less likely to buy) so I think it's cool she spent so much time with them. And yes, they did purchase several items. :) The downside was that I had to use the bathroom as a dressing room. It wasn't cramped though. There was a mirror and a place to set my clothes so they wouldn't have to touch the ground. I think they're currently setting up a dressing room, so this won't be a problem much longer.
