Crooked septum piercing, healed almost one year.

Absolutely do NOT go here. I went here a little less than a year ago with a friend to go get pierced. Google reviews made it seem like the place was decent, and I wasn't too worried about things going in. There were so many red flags that we ignored, however. For one, nothing was cleaned before, between, or after my friend and I getting pierced. There was no discussion about the kind of jewelry going in. There was no looking at placement. I got my septum pierced, and he did not measure the area, ask me about it, or even visually inspect my nose all that much. He just clamped it, pierced it, and put jewelry in as fast as possible. My friend got a nostril piercing, and a hoop with a captive bead was placed in the piercing to allow for "proper cleaning." However, this resulted in the bead popping out shortly after, the piercing coming out at several points, and my friend needing to buy new jewelry and basically repierce it themselves. My septum piercing, which I can more accurately speak for, is completely crooked. I'm leaving this review so late after visiting because I had a feeling that it might be crooked, but I was too scared to look. My instincts were right, and it is completely crooked. It was a little hard to tell with horseshoe style jewelry in, but in the attached picture with a simple hoop it is extremely obvious. I will be going to a more reputable shop far away from Indiana to be repierced in the future, with proper placement and a real piercer who will take their time and mark things down before making a permanent mark on someone's body. I would leave this review on Google as well, but the owner is very hostile with bad reviewers or any sort of criticism, likely leading to a better rating on there than this shop deserves. I spent 70 dollars (tip included, I'm not a monster!) for a crooked, misplaced septum. Avoid at all costs.

My sister took it like a champ and didn't flinch me on the other hand I have a low pain tolerance so it wasn't as smooth as a ride as my sister, however josh handled it very well, and tried to make it go as smoothly as possible which I'm so thankful for! Studio 30 was recommended to me! And I would recommend to anyone any day! It was extremely clean and everything was sanitary, every time something was touched it was wiped down and he put on new gloves each time!

I got my tattoo here last month by Amy, and I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience, which is a pretty big deal when you're dealing with something as permanent as a tattoo.. not like I can just demand a refund if I'm unhappy. From my very first time there to make my appointment, I was impressed by what I saw and experienced. First and foremost, the studio is clean and organized.. BIG deal. Amy is super cool and friendly, and she literally may be the easiest person to work with. I had to cancel my original appointment and reschedule it for a later time, and she was nothing but understanding and nice about it. They do require a small deposit when you book an appointment, but they're really flexible about it. The day of my appointment, Amy opened the shop early to do my tattoo, which was super cool of her. She took time before hand to perfect my idea and make sure it was exactly what I wanted, and really helped ease my nerves as we stood there and talked.. she's got a great personality! More importantly though, shes a fantastic artist! My tattoo was simple and quick, but I chose her and her studio because I had seen her work online and was really impressed with her stuff, so I knew that even with something as simple as mine, she'd nail it, and she did. I'm totally inlove with it, and I'd recommend her to anyone, anytime!

With that said; here are some insights that may be helpful: 1) You can see by the examples I've attached, he takes pride in his craft. Great detail work/realism and a good knack for placing tattoos in the proper place. 2) Pricing was always fair. You get what you pay for - quality work done with quality ink in a sanitary environment. 3) John has always kept to his schedule and was always ready to start tattooing upon my arrival to his shop. Sessions for large pieces go from anywhere between 3-4 hours. 4) his shop is clean and his tattoo area is organized. He always sanitizes the area you are getting tattooed before, during, and after the tattoo. 5) John has a great personality - we got a long great from the get go. He's super easy to talk to. 6) His shop is consistently booked so be patient getting a time slot booked. That was the first thing that shocked me - how far out he is usually booked; sometimes months. It's worth the wait though! In conclusion, I definitely recommend going here if you're looking for a tattoo artist in the Butler area.

Prior to the pandemic I had decided I wanted to get boxing gloves on my shoulder. Having not gotten a tattoo in two decades and having sworn I would never again, I just like that changed my mind. She had come to this location twice to get a couple tattoos of her own over the past couple years and thought it would make a great birthday gift to come together for an appointment. It turned out to be on of the best gifts. The shop is in a strip mall. The waiting area leave little to be desired. My BFF made our appointments on a Saturday at 4pm. She said the artist though very nice and does good work has a tendency to run late. When she said late I never really imagined what was in store for us. The shop closes at 6 on Saturday's and we were still in the waiting room "waiting" for our appointment to begin. About 2ish hours in she said we could come back. I was a ball of nerves. The last time I got a tattoo I fainted, twice. The first time I got a tattoo I also fainted, twice. Both times I had to be brought back with smelling salts. I don't recommend. She heard that and took great care to get some gummy bears in me, have cold water available, a fan pointed at me and had me lay down as opposed to seated as with my other experiences. It worked. Still hurt like heck but I did not faint. In the end after being there for basically a whole day, I was pleased with the artist Aime, the results of the tattoo and the price was fair. I wasn't really happy with how long it took to get us back there and to complete the process, but that is about the only bad thing I can say. Since the first time I have been back to see Aime 2x's, for two more tattoos after swearing them off for 20 years. Funny thing is I'm a little obsessed now... But the waiting is not a fluke. Clear your calendar and pack a lunch. You WILL be here all day. Otherwise very much recommend
