This is such a good piercing place in Pittsburgh! I haven't been to any others in Pittsburgh to be fair, but I trust this place a lot. They're very skilled, knowledgeable, and clean (which is so important for a piercing place.) The guy who does piercings is so cool and really friendly. He's very helpful with advising you about pain levels, with telling you how to clean your piercing, and with helping you pick out your jewelry; he's also very patient as you're deciding where the piercing should go. He makes you feel really calm and less nervous when getting the actual piercing too, which I appreciate a lot. I've gotten pierced here on two separate days and have had great experiences with him both times. He also works really fast, so you're in and out with a new piercing pretty quickly. Piercing prices are honestly really reasonable for the quality and service you're getting. My friend's piercing fell out after she got it done here and she came back and they helped her put it back in safely. No complaints here! PSA they do 2 piercings for the price of 1 on Tuesdays, but the wait can get REALLY long since everyone and their mom shows up on that day for the deal. Would advise going earlier to secure your spot if you're going on Tuesday, otherwise you'll make the piercing guy stay hours past closing :( The waiting area inside is pretty limited (only a few couches) so if it's really crowded you might have to leave and come back. Also Sushi Kim 2 right next door is the perfect place for dinner if you're waiting for your piercing during dinner time. It's some of the best sushi and Korean food in the city. I came here July 21st 2022 to get my nostril pierced (the left one in the picture) and customer service was good and everyone was super friendly. The shop was very clean too but the piercer (I don't remember his name) didn't use anything to stop the needle when piercing my nose and also didn't use clamps, resulting in cutting my nose. He didn't even say anything and played it off like nothing happened. I had to go to the bathroom to clean up the blood coming from the extra wound! I commented on their instagram today about it and they just straight up deleted my comment. I've been wanting a new tattoo for a very long time, and I was finally able to get an appointment with Aaron when I saw he had opened his books. I'd been a huge fan of his work for quite a long time and was really excited! He responded really quickly to my email and we found a date and time that worked very easily. When the appointment rolled around, I got to the shop a little early and was greeted promptly and given consent forms to fill out. Absolutely everyone I saw was wearing a sturdy mask correctly, which was really reassuring. The consent forms also had a slot to affirm that you had not been exposed to COVID-19 and were not showing any symptoms; this was a very nice touch. The actual tattooing itself was so smooth and easy. Aaron took my design and cleaned it up to a professional level while still retaining the original idea 100%. During the process, he did everything in front of me, made sure I could see him opening new needles, etc. He was even nice enough to explain some of the things he was doing to me, since I was curious, and that made me feel super welcomed and nice! (The music playing in the studio was great too!) He worked efficiently and finished earlier than he expected, but didn't go too hard or anything. I decided to get my nose pierced on my lunch break today! Since I work downtown, I wanted to find somewhere within walking distance. I checked Yelp and found the Pittsburgh Tattoo Company. I called before I went in for pricing and to see if they accept walk ins. About an hour later, I went. It wasn't busy and I was able to get pierced right away. The whole process took maybe ten minutes. The guy who pierced me (I didn't catch his name) was super helpful. He went over post care and also sent me home with a post care brochure. The work I got done was a coverup of another tattoo. The original tattoo was hideous and brought me a lot of insecurities.. Do NOT get your piercings here. Pictured is my prolapsed cartilage, having resulted from the botched piercing I got. The piercer deliberately used a bar WAAAYYYY too small for my cartilage. My ears are thicker, so a longer piercing would have been appropriate. There was no room for swelling or movement. When I finally managed to pry the backing off (after three months of agony), I could not feel the back blunt end of the piercing through the cartilage. You'd think a skilled piercing artist would have known better. I would have been better off having a friend do it in her bathroom like we were teenagers. Spend your money somewhere else and avoid the pain. read more

Horrible experience! The business only takes walk ins to start so initially i thought that was strange. I came very early around a half an hour after the place opened and spoke to the receptionist. He initially said that it would probably take around an hour and a half to two hours to get a tattoo. He said he would call me when the next person is available to tattoo. I had decided to stay and just walk around Pittsburgh for the time instead of leaving. 2 hours passed and I hadn't received a phone call but decided to wait longer just in case the prior customer took longer than expected. After 3 hours I decided to leave because I had not received a phone call at all. It's much later now and still have yet to receive any kind of update. Not trying to hurt the business, but I got my conch and cartilage pierced there a year ago. They were extremely painful even a year after and I went to a different piercer about it and she told me the bars they used were too short and not giving me room for swelling. They also tell you to only use water to clean it but every other piercer says use saline. They also pierced my friends bridge and it's noticeably crooked, first thing I noticed when I saw it. Got my nose pierced today and honestly one of the best piercers i have ever had. He was super nice and i was sure what side i wanted the piercing so he did both sides and let me look and decide. He told me exactly how he was going to pierced it and then cleaned everything afterward. He told me about aftercare and i was out the door. 10 minutes max. Quick & easy. We went to route 60 and a guy named kaleb did my gf tattoo and it was amazing work. And he was super cool and fun to talk to. I promise ditch this place and head to Robinson to route 60. What tattoo place let's their employees work shitfaced. I know I shoulda just bailed but I'm awkward in those situations so I just let it happen cause I have so many dumb tattoos already.
