He literally dropped everything he was doing, moved another car out of the garage that belonged to a local customer "who wasn't in a rush" and proceeded to diagnose and work on our car throughout the day. We were able to hit the road again in the afternoon and made it safely and without any more issues to Florida. Sunday afternoon I had contacted a number of mechanics asking them to contact me as soon as they got my message - I have yet to hear from any of them. I did all the things you're supposed to do before a road trip and still had an issue at 7pm, 30 miles east of Evanston, in 9degree weather. My tire was losing pressure but not quickly. A nice Wyomingite stopped and offered to follow me to Evanston to ensure I got there safely. I got a hotel room, filled my tire, sobbed on the phone to my fiancé, and snuggled my dog. I'm lol be honest, I've always lived in a city so the idea of almost getting stuck in the rural cold was scary. The next morning, my fiancé said "Go to Plains Tires and ask for Wayne, he'll take care of everything". I walk in and a guy at the desk (presumably Wayne) says "I'm guessing you're Kendra...I have instructions not to bother you with questions but just to ask for your keys". I gratefully handed over my keys and then took them back and said "Oh I forgot about my dog! I guess I'll take him for a walk while y'all work". The man said "Is he friendly?" I nodded "Then why don't you just bring him inside?" "Oh, I couldn't ask that of y'all". "Ma'am, it's 11 degrees outside and this is Wyoming...we do what we want here. Bring your dog in to the waiting room and relax". Then he turned on HGTV and went about dealing with my tires. This was about the kindest gesture this man could have offered after the last 14 hours was to give me and my 95lb GSD some space to be safe, warm, and relax.

Our groceries were getting warm as we waited and we had a 30 minute drive ahead of us to get home. I don't mind waiting but let me know I'm going to wait! I was on the verge of asking someone if we could put out grocery cart in a cooler. We did have a few groceries we tossed after arriving home because we didn't trust that they got warm then cooled again. Let people know how long it could take!

I was driving from Alabama to Utah and was 70 miles from my destination when my 20ft. cargo trailer blew a tire on I-80. I was towing it behind my 40 foot motorhome. As a widow driving by myself, this was my first solo tire experience. From my first phone call to them to my final exit, I knew I was in excellent, trustworthy hands! Never once did I feel like I was "handling" this on my own or that their recommendations were anything short of exactly what was needed, with nothing added. A road unit was dispatched within 10 minutes of my call for help. That gentleman was able to put on my spare tire quickly, despite the dangerous location, in order for me to drive to their location at the Pilot/Flying J. Their bays were plenty big and easy to pull my entire rig in. There had been damage to the other tire and the shredded tire wiring was pretty much entangled underneath the trailer. So, there was significant amount of "clean up" as well as the two new tires needed. Their work was clean, thorough, reasonable, honest, and complete. Their kindness extended to offering me every discount they could, desiring to help just an everyday person trying to make their way moving states. Often feeling quite alone, I never had that feeling when in their capable care. They had me back on the road again, within 60 minutes, and with no concerns there would be any other problems or damage from the incident. WELL DONE! As a customer with some mechanical ability and as an owner of a small mechanical shop I truly appreciate that he was able to source the part but didn't just load the parts cannon before confirming the problem. Fortunately we were referred to Billy. He got us right in and not only did he custom rebuild the broken parts of our exhaust system, he also made something to secure our mud flap. The original mechanism had snapped off. He had us in and out and charged us such a reasonable amount. Such great customer service and very talented mechanic. Such an immense help to our stranded family. No need to look around. He's the best.

Sadly the poor locals have no choice in Evanston, so they have to put up with all of these unethical practices! As a business owner myself I regularly hold Staff Meetings, so my employees know exactly how to do their job, how to troubleshoot, be efficient, I am able to maximize productivity and morale!
