This place is scandalous. Went in for a brake inspection and they tried to tell me that I needed both rear to replace two tires despite one of those tires being just ONE WEEK old. I had a sidewall blow out on the highway on my way across the state trying to get some kids to a baseball tournament. A different tire shop recommended big O tire. Called big O and was told that they wouldn't be able to get to my truck until the following morning. Showed up to discount tire at 5:45 when they close at 6:00. Their employee Brody pulled my truck in right away and got me on back on the road by 6:20 with two new tires. Good day for discount. Bad day for Big O. read more

I purchased a set of tires from a Big O in Bullhead city, AZ. I moved to Nebraska for a year. I had the shop align my SUV. I also several times had them rotate the Tires. The last time I went to them They said they could not rotate them because 2 tires were toed in on an alignment they did. I contacted to owner and got no response. I made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I got a response denying any responsibility. I contacted the National headquarters, I told them if they would back their guarantee then I would not write this review. It has been over two weeks since I contacted headquarters, I got no response. I have never been so disgusted with a shop. your Grand island shop conned my husband out of $1200 the other day. your service man said he wanted to check something's out without asking my husband if he wanted these parts replaced. my husband never had a chance to say no or stop. Your shop has a license to be criminal. you took advantage of my husband who knows nothing about cars. he came in for an oil change and a new serpentine belt. and came home with a bill for $1200. my father is a mechanic and I can assure you the parts you shoved on my husband were not necessary. you should be damned ashamed of your company. He also came in for two tires a few months ago. Your serviceman convinced my husband all four tires were bad. The other two tires were less than a year old. I would never do business with this place ever again, they take advantage of women, I had a incident on the highway had my car towed there. I knew I had some damage to my vehicle, asked before they did the work if I had any frame damage cause if so I was not gonna get the car repaired, the guy Working at the front assured me the frame was fine, buttom line out of 1,000 plus dollars and have to junk my vehicle. I've been here quite a few times, and I've always left impressed. They do a good job, they're quick too, and you can just come on in, no need to call ahead. Yes, all they do is tires all day and will advise you as you leave about the million and one things you can do to improve your tire performance, but it is well intended and not BS to try to get you to spend more than you wanted. read more

I want to preface this review by saying that if you own tires are just at big O they are good about repairing the tires. That being said their mechanic service is horrible and there tire installation process for me was very slow. I purchased the tires from them out of necessity as they are the closest tire provider to my house and one of my tires was damaged beyond the point of being able to repair it. I agreed to allow them to do an alignment on the car since I ended up purchasing new tires from them. That process ended up taking over five hours out of my day and two trips to the shop to get the alignment correct and I ended up needing to go to a different shop later to have the alignment fixed after they were done. They tried to blame the problem on bad tires but that does not instill much confidence in me as I had just spent $800 replacing all four of them. They did replace all four tires claiming that two of them were bad causing the alignment problem but that doesn't make it much better. My personal recommendation is to spend your money elsewhere if you need tires read more

This big O store gave us the fastest and friendliest service we have ever had at a tire shop. We had hit a piece of debris on the freeway and traveled about 100 miles when the car started making horrible noises. The manager got our car up on the rack and the problem detected within 15 minutes, even though they were very very busy. We are grateful for his kindness and the wonderful service we received. I woke up in Grand Island with a flat tire on my rental car. Needing to get back on the road ASAP, I put the 'donut' tire on the car and headed for the first place I saw, which was GoodYear to get my flat fixed. They told me they couldn't work on the tire until 2PM. Not wanting to sit around for 5 hours, I went across the street to Big O and they took me in immediately. Really bad service took 6 hours to change 2 tires they scam us they said that there was things wrong with our car and then we took it again to see what was wrong because there was a burnt smell coming from the tires and when we saw what they did they told us to fuck off and leave and they'd finish there job tomorrow but now when we tried to go back back home the tire started to smoke and now we stuck and can go back home NEVER COME TO THIS TIRE STORE EVER!! My son went in to get tires on his Mustang. They called me telling me all these other things it needed! Tire total was $700, the rest was gonna put the total up to $1200. I had given then permission to do some of the work, only because the guy came down and also said we were getting a discount. When my son got home, the charge had been $1449 and so many cents! Merry Christmas, it's the day before Christmas Eve, I believe I was scammed!! I would never refer ANYONE to them!!! read more

What started out as a 1 time trip to get tires has ended in me having to go back about 5 times. I do not recommend going here unless you want to waste valuable time and money. I went here about 4 months ago for new tires (obviously). My initial impression was great. My satisfaction seemed like it was their #1 priority... had the new tires put on, cost a little more than I expected but no biggie. I drove off the lot and less than 2 weeks later I was back at Big O because of a insane vibration at the wheel. I was told that there was an issue with my rims (need to mention that the senor in the tires have not calibrated yet, after about 100 miles on the tire so I still had a tire warning light on). I was told I needed a new rim. Not a big deal because I had wanted new rims anyway just didn't plan on getting them this soon. Rims came in, had them installed (light is still on)...start noticing that my ride pulls to the left driving home from school. Get up the next morning to see my tire is completely flat. I took it back to Big O...Again and they tell me that I need a new valve stem and they replaced it for no cost which is expected since I've only had the tires for about a month....today my Girlfriend was leaving work when she noticed the tire was low, I instructed her to go over to Big O and they would take care of it (I should mention that the tire warning light has never turned off). My girlfriend called me and said that they charged her for a new valve stem and...drum roll...a new sensor (which has never worked anyway) read more
