We went in with an idea of what we wanted and John guided us with suggestions. That said, he is very difficult. This last time we were tossed between 2 different frames. We chose one, gave a 50% deposit. When we arrived home and considered the space it was to be hung, we decided to go with the other choice. We immediately called John (we left his store only 30 minutes prior) to tell him we are changing to the other frame. He was nasty, said we were "grinding him" (not sure what that means since we were asking only for his opinions) and said he's too busy to deal with this and to come get our piece. We attempted to calm him down and in spite of his unprofessional demeanor told him we'd be in to look at the other frame. Upon further consideration I decided I did not want to work with someone so unprofessional. When I arrived I asked him what went wrong and he lost it again. Crazy! He the gave me our piece wrapped in paper, not in the tube he was given and when I asked him to put it in the tube for protection, he said "I already rolled it." I never knew going to a frame shop was the same as going to a used car dealership…read more Bought a groupon and wanted to use it for a glass replacement job. The glass replacement was less than the groupon, but I said I didn't care. The sales person told me I couldn't use it and that it had to be a compete gram job and that the current sale was good till atleast the end of the month and I could use the groupon. We worked through the price and I noted I would definitely be back before the end of the month I believe it was the next day or day after I brought in a piece that needed a full frame job. The person who helped me was more than happy to try and sell me on multiple high end mat$$$. When I finally picked out a basic mat and the same frame that i had used for my last piece that they did a complete frame job on, she totals it up and it was pretty close to what we figured out the day before. Great! Mention the group on and then the pricing magically changes. In the end it was around a $50 difference. That $50 difference cost them a customer who has a lot of items that are much larger that need to be framed. Hope it was worth it.

I ordered four for family members as gifts for my children and a nephew. Yesterday I got a call from Tom saying the finished product was in and ready for pickup, which I did today. Tom expertly shrink-wrapped together the four pictures for easy transport and brought them to my vehicle. I left the shrink-wrap on since it's a gift, but you can get a sense of the quality of the frame and reproduction. Tom is the epitome of a small shop owner who cares about his workmanship and his customer service. And a great story teller.
