They explained all. ILso thought (someone told me) the problem was larger than they thot. I ended up paying only 60.00 when I thot would be hundreds for the other problem. I'm here for a second time. Something with my fuel system . AutoZone said it's fuel pump by way of their own scanner. But upon coming in, they said she only needs a tune up. The guy also caught a part error on the delivery. I'm waiting on the fix to finish now. I'm thinking they are right again. & their computer is better too. This place has a bunch if turn over with the workers. Personally that usually means management. Prwsent mngr told me they did have a lot of take backs until recently they got 2 new guys in the bay. So maybe they go in & out of reviews like mine? The guy in my bay said he's got a car with 350 thou miles on original engine & tranny so he needs to be my mechanic$!!

I…read moresaw the lead mechanic at muffler man end up throwing over 10 punches to one of his own customers. This is what i saw happen from the parking lot when I was going to bring my car in, I obviously couldn't, because of what happens next. The customer was trying to figure out some things wrong with his car. Asking sincere and reasonable questions. He was only chatting with the lead mechanic for a few minutes and then all of a sudden I heard the mechanic get really loud, swearing and telling the customer to **** off and say I'm not going to argue with you and he stormed off to the garage. Since the customer said he gave the mechanic the last of his money. The customer said he was just trying to get some ideas for how to fix the car(he later told me he paid them $1500 to get the car running and they never actually got it running and seemed like they were trying to blow him off at this point.) The customer suggested a fuel pump and a relay and the mechanic said if he installs it and it doesn't work it's just a waste of time. I was in the parking lot watching from my car. The customer followed the mechanic into the garage to apologize and say sorry for making you mad. The customer said, I wasn't trying to argue, but just have a civil conversation about what else I could do to the car to possibly get it running. The mechanic yelled at the customer telling him to get the **** out of his garage. I don't give a **** what's wrong with your car it's not my ******* problem you better get the **** out of my garage right now. The customer said wow... okay and left the garage. I saw him standing from the parking lot after this. I heard the customer try to communicate one last time from a professional manner, super calm, and patient. Saying there has to be something we can do, but this is when things got really nasty. The lead mechanic completely snapped 0-100 in less than 2 seconds and got in the customers face and started throwing punches at his own customer. I counted almost 10 punches. There were over 10 witnesses. The customer never fought back. He had his hands up trying to defend himself. As the lead mechanic of Muffler Man sat there reigning punches down on their customer. I was horrified. Kids were watching this. I was watching this. Other customers were watching this. It took his wife who works the office to get him to stop punching this man. When the cops got to the business the mechanic tried to say the customer pushed him and pulled a knife out, but never did I see such a thing. there are also cameras where the customer was brutally assaulted so that won't hold up. Imagine being the lead mechanic at a shop and not only absolutely beating the **** out of a kind and respectful customer but then lying to the police saying he pulled a knife. I was right there. He was getting his face punched in the entire time. I testified for the officers, but the video tapes will tell the truth that the mechanic beat up his customer, than called the cops and said the customer pulled a knife on him. If you have a family, kids, grandkids. Please keep them far away from this place. If you make him mad by asking the wrong question this too could be you. Thank goodness there's camera footage to show the true intentions of this deranged mechanic. I used to come here all the time. I was very supportive and gave them lots of business from myself and family, but after this I will never be back and my big family that goes here will never be back. I would not be surprised if the customer sues. I overheard his wife who works front desk and several employee, backup this mans lies. The customer never fought back. It shows you they are not only built on violence and anger but distrust and lies as well. I hope this helps some people.

I don't like leaving negative reviews, and I tried hard to avoid doing so here--but I'm sharing…read morethis in case it helps someone deciding where to take their vehicle, especially for anything more complicated than a basic exhaust job. What went well: They did help me choose a setup that met my expectations for sound. From a "parts selection" standpoint, I got what I asked for. The problem: I'm now paying a second shop to do the job I originally came here for: The whole reason I brought my vehicle in was for the exhaust to be tucked up properly and routed cleanly. Instead, the installation was left hanging significantly lower than it should, it wasn't aligned evenly, and the overall workmanship looked rushed and sloppy. At this point, I'm having to pay another shop to correct the fitment and complete the objective I came here for in the first place--which is frustrating and avoidable. That concern also turned into a safety issue: when I drove to another shop afterward, my wife followed behind me and called asking me to pull over because the exhaust was swaying so noticeably while driving. I tried to give them a chance to correct it I went back in good faith to let them make it right. I tried to explain the issue and work with Lyndsey, but I got nowhere and didn't feel my concerns were being taken seriously. Let alone heard. Second opinion confirmed the issue immediately: I took the vehicle to another shop. They got it up on the lift, immediately understood what I was pointing out, and even commented on the poor workmanship. Bottom line If you only need something simple and you're not picky about fitment, maybe you'll have a different experience--but based on what I received and how the follow-up was handled, I would not trust this location. I have two identical vehicles. One has a standard Y-pipe, and the other (serviced at plainfield) has a more "aggressive" rumble box. Both are otherwise stock. Originally, the serviced vehicle sat at roughly 4" from the body at the center exhaust. Just as the completely stock vehicle pictured does. When I removed the mufflers from the sportier vehicle, the pipe dropped significantly. Lyndsay and her tech are claiming the nearly 8" it's currently hanging is "stock," which doesn't align with OEM. Again, I brought this in to have it brought back up and new hardware welded in. They simply welded in some hardware and called it a day. This was an incredibly disappointing experience.

I was greeted well and the gentlemen there made sure I understood what I was paying for and why. I knew that we were going to need a transmission flush as well as an oil change and got that taken care of as well when they mentioned it. I had never been asked to bring it back a few days later to make sure it was good after the flush. So that was a good indication that they care about their work and the customers. In and out within 15 minutes with a full top off to our windshield wiper fluid along with the options to choose the quality of the products they have. Overall it was a good experience and I do recommend going there for your Oil Change.

After three "expert" techs and 90 days I got back a car that wouldn't start, locked in gear so it couldn't be rolled around, dead battery and a front tire with a hole so big I can put my fist in it (see picture). WTH happened? They said they could never start it so apparently worked on it in the driveway but despite never getting the car running their "estimate/diagnosis" was it probably needs a transmission module but they didn't have the software to reset or determine if it was bad... THE CHARGES: $600+. I left a car that ran and got back a car that didn't plus had a tire which looked like it was shot with a cannon and a dead battery. I can't recommend them for ANY auto repairs on any thing. Disappointed and $600 poorer.
