Store is really well kept and looks beautiful coming in, but obviously the focal point is the alcohol. The people there are always very helpful. I had two people stop by and ask if they could help me out in different sections of the store, and they walked by and did the same to everybody that was looking and didn't seem to have found what they were looking for.

On this visit, I was searching for a specific flavor of pretzels that Kiara told me about (the ones she gets on the plane), which are supposedly only sold at Total Wine. I saw other flavors in the store, but not the one I was looking for. The brand of the pretzels is Stellar and I was searching for the Maui Monk flavor. The website indicated that they had it in stock, so I asked a worker for help. Unfortunately, he was unhelpful and made me feel like I was bothering him, so I continued searching on my own. After some time looking on my own, I asked another employee, who was much more helpful. He took the time to check and explained that they were likely out of stock and that the online inventory isn't always accurate. He also mentioned how popular the pretzels are and that they sell out quickly--even he buys several when they come in. My husband was also looking for a small bottle of Cointreau, but they were out of that as well. I decided to try another flavor of the pretzels - Sweet and Sparky. These were good, had a spice to them with the buffalo flavoring. These bags are priced at $6.49. I'd like to eventually try the other flavors, including the one I was looking for. This visit was hit-or-miss in terms of customer service and item availability.

I discovered this place because it was next door to the Goodyear where my headlamp was being replaced. AWESOME selection! Salted Caramel bourbon? No problem. Olive juice for dirty martinis? Yep, they had it. Elderflower liqueur for French gimlets? More than one variety to choose from. Plus dozens of other interesting things -- and the best collection of tequila I've seen yet in Indiana. (It's my fave... what can I say?) The prices looked really good on a number of bar staples (Sailor Jerry spiced rum, Tanqueray and Beefeater gins, etc.), and service was efficient and pleasant. Did I mention the vast selection of wines? Plus an entire climate-controlled room for wines, and an enormous chilled room for beers (which I didn't linger in because I forgot my coat). " They had every beer I was hoping to find and more... Nearly every available variety of New Belgium. More varieties of Bell's than I ever knew existed, Boulevard, Abita, Breckenridge and tons more that I had never even heard of. Prices are pretty good especially considering their unique collection. Staff is very helpful. I called ahead of time to make sure I could get some Fat Tire and the New Belgium seasonal. He answered those questions, and provided tons of information on prices, inventory, etc. Once I got there, he was able to check in the back for other stuff. The only problem is that I'm not in Indy that often... but Crown Liquors is a great reason to go. Yay! The area is pretty non-sketchy, and right next door to a Border's Book Store. I wouldn't hang out in the parking lot though.
