My fave was the Raspberry Butter Tart but the lemon poppyseed scone was fantastic too. Hubby said that the Chocolate Cherry scone was wonderful. All kinds of squares and brownies. Oh and the sourdough bread is fantastic (toasted it's heavenly too). Thinking French toast is next. They had a variety of flavours plus baguettes and bread rolls. The cinnamon buns looked outstanding. (Next time). FYI they also provide their baked goods to the coffee kiosk at The Glasshouse in Chatham if you can't get out to Thamesville. My favorite was the peach cobbler, stuffing was just sweet enough. I was not particularly a fan of the spinach turnover, felt like it was missing some salt. The Mexican corn needed a boost Mexican chilli powder, but it's catered to local tastes. It was good, I'd order again. Home made baked beans. Very good. It's small and easy to miss, but don't. The ice cream is fresh and delicious. No DQ slush here, but actual ice cream from Hershey. Yum. And then there is coffee and donuts ( the donuts fresh each day). There are a few more items, but you get the drift. Small, comfortable, a place to spend a little time chatting or reading the news of the day. A county park is being built across the road, so I suspect the foot traffic here will skyrocket in the next couple years. And I hope it does. This little business is a keeper and deserves success. Also, in case you just want to make a fast stop, there is a window where you can order and go.
