Service can be a lot better. My meal came out first before anyone else's meal instead of all food being served at once. The waitress was more interested in her phone than serving customers. I got the Texan meal with all 5 meats. Chicken was over cooked and dry. Meats had no flavor aside from the BBQ sauce. Ambiance was good. Roomy, 2 big TV, cool lighting and clean.

Quiznos is as quintessentially American as apple pie and baseball. Hell! Quiznos is America's sub…read moresource; it's a brand name that instills confidence and security. I really wanted to fill my body to the brim with an absolutely hedonistic amount of deli meats and cheeses. Unfortunately the San Simon Quiznos was permanently shut down and replaced with a Subway that is also shut down. I was afraid of getting the Noble Romans Pizza, mainly due to the fact that they advertise that they can make you a pizza in less than five minutes. One of my traveling companions purchased one of Roman's bacon cheeseburgers; he said the taste alone was making him sick. However, after covering the burger in Munchies party snacks, he ate the rest of it, so who's to say what score he would actually award Noble Romans if given the chance. I got food from the gas station that both the aforementioned sandwich establishments were once connected to. I bought one Kind Bar so it wouldn't look suspicious that I was stealing a second Kind Bar for later (I'm kind of a bad boy). I also bought a pack of peanut butter filled M&M's and a lime flavored Perrier because I like my shit on bubbles. The staff was just the right amount of aloof for my taste and the decor is as minimal as it is nonexistent. Bottom line: this place is keen. Mark your map! If you find yourself in the absolutely stunning city...? Town? I dunno... strip of highway known as San Simon, you don't want to miss this hidden treasure.

A little local trivia for anyone who remembers: back in the '90s, this building was a dry cleaner…read morewhere my parents used to drop off their clothes. Fast forward to post-COVID, and it's been transformed into something completely different: Fancy Pizzeria, run by a family with a clear passion for what they do, complete with an oven imported from Italy. Anytime someone says Safford needs a Chili's, I cringe... not because I don't like Chili's, but because good help is hard to find in a small town. The owners here seem to understand that, keeping things lean and hands-on with very little hired help. As a result, the service from the husband-and-wife team is genuinely great... though when it gets busy, things can slow down. I've experienced that firsthand, and walked out once a couple years ago after a long wait...but I came back, and I'm glad I did. The food is, simply put, amazing. The pizza has that perfect charred crust you usually only find in bigger cities or on the East Coast. The Italian sodas are excellent. I've yet to try anything, from appetizers to pasta dishes, that didn't hit the mark. Prices are a bit higher than most spots in town, but the quality absolutely justifies it when it's in the budget. I've heard the name "Fancy Pizzeria" was intentional: they wanted to set the expectation that this isn't your typical greasy pizza joint... and they deliver on that, consistently. The dining area has expanded quite a bit recently, and the decor is creative and unique, with many of the dishes and utensils sourced from local thrift shops. All in all, this place stands out in Safford in the best way. I genuinely love everything about it and hope they can continue to operate in the years to come!

At first I was skeptical because it was iceberg lettuce, but again, super fresh and perfectly prepared and with homemade dressing. I could eat that meal over and over again. Service was excellent, friendly and fast, but not rushed. The decor is fun and thoughtful. I can't wait to go back!
