I was in Duncan AZ covering a high school baseball game. I visited the Ranch House Restaurant before and after the game. The salad bar was small but fresh and crisp. I had a salad for lunch and was satisfied. For dinner I went with the Taco Monday special and was pleasantly surprised. I had three different kind of tacos (chicken, shredded beef & ground beef) on both flour and corn tortillas. All their food was outstanding. The deserts are all homemade and so much better than almost all other places I've ordered dessert. What a treat for the locals to have such a great place to eat. The Ranch House is a pretty average stop on Highway 70. But for a town of about 600 people, it's impressive to find food this decent. The omelets are the highlight of the menu, fluffy eggs replete with whatever meats or veggies you choose! But the biscuits with optional sausage gravy aren't to be ignored. What a pleasant surprise. Was taken there for dinner on a visit from Los Angeles. My expectations were not high, but my rib eye was prepared as requested and was bursting with flavor. Stopped in while hunting. My husband and I both had the roast beef tacos with rice and beans. We also had the macaroni wedges. The tacos were crispy and stuffed with juicy, flavorful roast beef. The best tacos I've had in years!!! The rice and beans were equally good. The salsa is fresh and tasty with plenty of flavor and not too much heat. Best Food I have found in the area...been here 6 months. I haven't explode every restaurant. But honestly after 2 meals here I don't need look any further. Great food, great prices for what you receive. And friendly and clean. And all the locals know one another but done make you feel out place! Interesting Bar in rear I haven't tried yet! So far I have had the super burrito and the chicken chimichanga. Enchilada style with green sauce! Omg delicious but I couldn't finish. We've heard so many great things about this place. We have friends that literally make the drive here weekly for Ribs so we came with pretty high expectations. First of all, the restaurant is so cute. I love the saloon doors for the bar, the outhouse and decor. Everything inside is stunning and really goes with the feel of the town. There were customers dressed in cowboy hats. I loved it. Our waitress was pretty cold. She did not smile once and was pretty abrupt, in and out and didn't come check on us. She was the only waitress though and the Sunday crowd made the wait for our food close to 40-50 min. The burgers looked drool worthy and we were so excited to bite into them only to meet the most tasteless burger we've ever had. It was very bad. The only saving salvation was that the fries were delicious. For how far we drove, the wait and the price of the meal, we should have stayed home. Super disappointing experience. read more

Sometimes you just have to leave it to chance. My traveling buddy and I were passing through buckhorn, not that hungry but saw a bunch of cars in front of the ranch house. Knowing we had three more hours to drive- we stopped. I got the stuffed sopapilla and he had chicken tacos. After eating tacos and sopapilla a all week, we were a lil burnt out... BUT- this food was rich, tasty, and is believable perfect. The tea was brewed to perfection and we couldn't have asked for more authenticity. My meat tasted like it was alive yesterday. I hope you find this place on your own without the help of Yelp like we did. That made it so much more perfect. read more

Great food, great service, clean,friendly. My Patty Melt was above average since the meat tasted fresh and the patty hand formed. The skin on fries were fresh as well. My husbands breakfast of eggs, sausage, hash browns and toast was equally delicious. Highly recommend this resturant whenever you are in Duncan. read more

We were down in the area for a few weeks, and tried a bunch of the local restaurants, but couldn't help but keep coming back to Ranch House Restaurant. After a long day's hard work, we drove the 40 minutes to get to this restaurant multiple times over the weeks. The service was perfect and super fast, and the food was out of this world good. My bf had the green chili cheeseburger (our new favorite place west of the Mississippi to get them) and I got the daily specials just to try them. Hand battered chicken fried steak with their restaurant sauce was delicious, and I don't think I've ever had a juicier steak, even when doing it myself. Their salad bar was also nicely stocked and I always had a good fresh salad with my meal. We can't wait to go back and have been raving about this place to anyone who's in the area! Grabbed lunch here today. Ordered a Bacon cheeseburger and pulled pork sandwich. They were both absolutely delicious. The pulled pork was perfectly barbecued and flavored. The buns for both the burger and the sandwich were soft and delicious. read more
