The size and magnitude of this antique mall is a bit overwhelming so take your time and be prepared to have a lot to look at. There is an upstairs and a downstairs with booths filled and well presented on both. These prices are not thrift shop prices, but well curated vintage items that are worth a look if nothing else. As with most antiques centers these days, Big Valley offers both antiques and vintage items with only a few booths offering contemporary items. It is huge and a little hard to navigate, especially the upstairs. There are a few good dealers in the mix, primarily on the first floor near the entrance and checkout area. That is the good news. On the other hand, many parts of the center are poorly lit, making it hard to properly view items for sale. A good number of the booths are disheveled and heaped inappropriately with items. Most of the booths carry similar second hand goods, items less than twenty years old and merchandise that is typically found in thrift stores, at far more than thrift store prices. After a while, walking through this enormous center became boring and repetitious, especially the upstairs and the more recent side addition. Perhaps the center is too big for the market it sources from. In closing, after visiting Big Valley seven times in the past five years, I have decided to drop the center off my antiques route. If you appreciate real antiques and a good mixture of diverse furniture, objects and art, perhaps you, too, should look elsewhere - State College, Williamsport, Lewisburg and Harrisburg comes to mind. Better yet, there are numerous smaller antiques shops in Central Pennsylvania that are a joy to visit. We made a quick stop here and had a great time browsing the countless booths. The store has quite a large selection of primitives, kitchenware, holiday blow molds, baskets, albums, toys, beer steins, etc on two floors. The prices were reasonable and there were a good number of customers shopping on a Wednesday afternoon. read more

We visited Big Valley on a week day June 4, 2021. It's large 2 story building. To start, I can't do stairs so asked out an elevator. They said they had one but it's out of service. The impression was that it's been out of service for sometime. While going around the place it was hard to see because it's poorly lite. If you want to see something in a locked case you had to go to the checkout counter for help. Despite the size of the place, they had no one roaming for customer assistance. The next thing is that there are no public restroom. Despite them having a restroom exclusively for the staff. If you need to go to the bathroom, you can use the port-a-potty's outside and didn't have a handicap port-a-potty. All in all if I could give no stars or negative stars I would. read more

Just happened to pull off the road for a break on a road trip and happened across the BEST antique mall! Lots of interesting items and so many booths. Took an hour and a half to do a quick walk through. Got some great deals. Highly recommend making this a destination. read more

This store is very poorly managed. Steer cear if you are a vendor &/or shopper.

They've closed their public restrooms permanently. The excuse was "Covid" but they have apparently decided not to reopen them. They now send customers to a Porta potty in the parking lot. We're both older and having clean (and warm) bathrooms nearby is important to us. We ended up driving down the road to Rutters and used the restroom there. I left a $110 item on the shelf and decided to shop elsewhere. The largest antique co-op in Mifflin County with more than 100 dealers and two floors of antiques and collectibles. All prices and variety from country to industrial to Mid century. If you are familiar with the now demolished Dairyland Antiques, you may notice that some of its dealers moved here. The staff is friendly and helpful and there are carts to help move and load heavy items. read more

As the name implies, it is big! Good variety, lots of different stuff. It was mostly antiques with a few booths of yard sale leftovers. They had some nice decorator pieces, "mantiques" (like tools, hunting things, etc), some vintage hats, old advertising stuff and lots more. Some booths are very well organized and some you have to dig through. I saw a fair amount of unique, cool things as well as more generic stuff. Prices varied feom dealer to dealer and most were reasonable. My only real complaint was that the lighting is a little dark. read more
