We caught fish - most of which were large. The food was excellent. On trips like these I have often subsisted on Doritos, peanuts, and other questionable ultra processed "food". This time each dinner included a huge salad, meat, a starch - pasta, rice, etc. and a vegetable plus desert. Excellent and we didn't go away hungry. My favorite meal is breakfast and you get a wide choice of options including my favorite bacon and eggs. Lunches were provided on our floats of the Bighorn and were very good with more food than I could eat. Dave and Cary and their two labs were great hosts. I highly recommend

I booked Thursday thru Sunday and brought my 26 year old son along for the trip. Everything about our stay was perfect! the lodge and our cabin was clean, welcoming and comfortable. The food was excellent, and our fishing guide Chad was incredible. We caught dozens of fish over two days, and when coming back to the lodge at the end of the day we were welcomed by Cary and David with a cold drink and a great dinner. Cary and David provide guests with everything they need, and no detail is overlooked. I highly recommend the Bighorn Riverview Lodge and Cabins, it was perfect, and can't wait to go back!

We…read moretraveled to Montana for fishing trips in 2001, 2009, 2012, and just recently in August of 2019. The Bighorn River is perhaps the best trout fishery in the lower 48. We have been guided by Brad and others, most recently by Dave Palumbo. A+ experience. Conditions were a bit tough the week we were there, but we were consistently catching more fish than others on the stream, noticeably so. Guides were constantly asking Dave for advise, and what flies/rigs we were using! The accommodations at Angler's Edge are as wonderful as the guiding/fishing. The property boasts two well-maintained guest residences. One is a typical house with a finished basement. It has two full baths, two queen bedrooms on the main level, and three bedrooms in the lower level. The lower level rooms have multiple queen beds. You can pack 10-12 people in the house including the couches. We did this before, in fact, on a large group trip in 2001, a trip organized by our local fly shop in Pittsburgh. The other residence is a cabin-like house with 2 bedrooms with 2 queen beds in each, and a common full bath. Each house has a kitchen with all the equipment and appliances you need to cook...just bring food. Make sure to bring enough alcohol, otherwise you will be driving back to Hardin, which is 45-50 minutes away. We were pleased by the fancy new propane grills at the house. There is a deck and patio dining set at the house, and a large front porch at the cabin with benches, chairs, and a grill. The cabin and house are separated by more than enough distance from one another be considered private (150 feet). There is virtually no interaction with guests staying in the other residence, aside from a shared driveway. The house has broadband DSL, whose wireless is within range of the cabin. I was impressed by the speed of the DSL, which was on the high end for typical DSL (speed tests of ~8 megabits/s). It was fast enough to stream an NFL game in HD without a hiccup. I was also able to run a remote desktop client without issue. Both residences were updated with a HDTV since we were here last, and the satellite dish package appears to be one of the top tier packages with all the sports and specialty channels. We were very happy to return to the Bighorn and stay at Angler's Edge. I would highly recommend this outfitter to any passionate fly fisherman or woman, also seeking really nice accommodations.

They were gravel but it was well maintained and not muddy at all. Two beautiful hiking trails in the hills next to the campground and a frisbee golf course. The staff were really nice and they give you free ice cream when you check in! There's a little coffee/baked goods store at the entrance that is sometimes open. Highly recommend.

The Bed Bug Inn Beware Room #113!…read moreSince I travel extensively, I check all rooms I stay in very carefully. I was quick to find bedbugs at Room #113 bed's headboard. The bedbugs I saw all seemed to be dead, but they were interspersed between the mattress, box spring, sheets and across the headboard-side floor. As if custodial staff not cleaning up the dead bedbugs was bad enough, bedbug powder - a powerful insecticide - was all over the place, maybe 16 - 20 inches from where we place our heads during sleep. We immediately requested another room (nearby inns and motels were full) from the lady at the front desk. Additionally, she took images with her cell phone of the bedbugs and powder I found. The inn upgraded us to a room with a bed of a different design, sort of a cradled frame. We saw no bugs. Later the next day, we saw indications that the staff must have merely moved the bed in #113 back into position, and rented the room out to another, unsuspecting guest. We will never stay here again.
