Our trout fishing trip at Bighorn River Lodge was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless and welcoming thanks to Erin and Jeremy. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made us feel completely taken care of and allowed us to focus on enjoying every moment on and off the water. The fishing itself was exceptional, made even better by our guide Ron, who was knowledgeable, patient, and an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. He knew the river inside and out and put us on fish consistently while making the experience both fun and educational. Throughout our stay we were treated to excellent food--delicious, gourmet-quality meals that exceeded expectations and were the perfect way to start end each day. Bighorn River Lodge delivers the full package: world-class fishing, top-notch service, amazing food, and unforgettable people. We can't wait to return. read more

Wasn't even aware that this place was here in little St. Xavier, positioned in the valley not far from the river. They have a patio with a manmade pond and small log cabins available for rent. Although the reason I was here was for dinner, and it was perfect, I had the sirloin steak and my companion had a Philly steak sandwich. While a Black Panther circled the table and fish jumped at the bugs while the sun was setting on my last Friday of the summer. Our server was Benjamin who did a wonderful job and brought us beverages not found on the menu. Will definitely be coming back with more company-my companion said, "it's very nice, very pleasant " And Yes it was both of those! read more
Every good fisherman never reveals his best fishing spots. I guess I am not such a good fisherman because I want the whole world to know how fun BRL can be. I just finished my third trip there this week and here's the scoop. First let me say that the Bighorn River is world class. The fish are plentiful, healthy, and big. The outfitter associated with the lodge is a real professional who takes his craft very seriously. All of the fishing and hunting with him or his other guides is done in a legal and ethical manner. These guides really know how to put you on the fish too. All three times we have been there we seemed to be more successful than the competing boats. We did a Cast & Blast this time and the waterfowl hunting was fast and furious. The guides did a lot of prep work and scouting to ensure we had a good hunt. The lodge accommodations are very inviting and comfortable. The entire staff is friendly. There is a fly shop at the lodge if you forget some gear. Now to every Yelper's question...How is the food? The food is as great as the fishing. I couldn't take pics of the food because the other hunters would make fun of me. You will just have to trust me that the food is superb. When we were there, the chef (a real chef) made us Australian waygu steaks, prime pork chops, and on the last day he made a chicken fried duck confit with waffles. It was all scrumptious. Whether you are entertaining clients, having a retreat, or taking your family BRL is great choice. read more
